I just got back from having lunch with some friends (Pete was supposed to be there) and was told that our own Pete Biro suffered a mild stroke this morning. He is to be in the hospital until sometime next week. Word is, he's doing OK and will be fine.
We missed you Pete. Hope you have a speedy recovery and get back to us soon!

I spoke with both Linda (Pete's wife) and Pete this afternoon. Pete suffered a stroke while waiting in line at a bank. The paramedics reached him quickly and administered a new clot eliminating drug while he was enroute to the hospital. Paralysis on his left side has already disappeared as well as a lisp in his speaking. He feared that he had broken his wrist when he fell, but even that has turned out to only be a sprain. Pete is hopeful that he will go home tomorrow. Due to the speed and type of treatment, Pete has truly experienced a miraculous recovery. He asked that I thank you all for the kind thoughts and wishes and said to tell you that he was be back online and posting messages as soon as possible.

Thanks for the update Bill. I got my info from Joe Porpor Friday at lunch and not much was known at the time. Your news is great to hear.
