Jackie's Magic 2007
A food drive to help the needy of Lake County, Illinois

This event is in honor of my daughter, Jackie, who died in a horrible auto accident December of 2003. When the accident occurred, Jackie had taken it upon herself to launch her own food drive, to support local families during the holiday season. She had been doing this without anyone’s knowledge.

In a grief-stricken, curious meeting of the minds, we created “Jackie’s Magic” a food drive/magic show that combines our love of magic and Jackie’s commitment to charity and service. In appreciation for a donation of non-perishable food items (or a cash donation) participants will be treated to a 90-minute magic show featuring Marshall Brodien (Wizzo from Bozo Circus), Mark & Sue Holstein, Joe Diamond, Magic Sam, Rob & Deb Russ, The Balsters and Jim Stan Magic Man.
There will also be close-up magic performers and balloon artists who will provide pre-show entertainment.

Jackie always tried to make a difference, and we wanted to continue her efforts. You can also see us on “Community Connection” on Comcast Cable during the weeks of October 22-November 3, 2007. We will also be on WGN Morning News on Channel 9 in Chicago to promote the event during the week of October 29, 2007

Jackie’s dedication to the hungry among us demonstrates how the efforts of one person can truly make a difference and we honor her memory by continuing her efforts. Please join us for a delightful and family friendly evening of laughter and prestidigitation. All food collected will benefit the Warren Township food pantry and cash donations will benefit the Warren Transitional House.
