Okay guy's and gal's,
Here's a tidbit of what a day with Rannie Raymundo was like...... First off, other than correspondence via the net and a few phone calls I had never met Rannie until this past Sunday. I am but a raw novice in the world of magic so an opportunity to meet and hang out with a magician of his caliber was a dream come true! I was nervous driving down there, worried that he might ask me to show him some moves and then tell me I should take up stamp collecting instead. Well, within 1 minute of our face to face introduction I felt as though we had been friends for ages! Rannie is a most gracious host as are his family who's house we were at. I'm not even sure how long we talked about everything OTHER than magic but once we got down to it the amazement started and did not end until the sun had long since set! I will not elaborate on what all was discussed or what I was shown as that is between us. I will tell you that what you have seen in video clips and Youtube and what you have read or heard is true! Not only does he do things with coins (as well as C&B's, Okito boxes, cards, string, rings etc etc etc) that seem impossible but he makes it look so effortless! As I mentioned in another post, I was less than 3 feet away from him, burning his hands with laser intensity, THINKING I knew what might come next or how it was done, then WHAMO, her fried me again and again and again! Rannie, taught me more in that one afternoon and evening than I could have gleaned from my fairly well stocked library of books and vids in years of study! He taught me moves, psychology, body language, history and generosity. He instilled in me a greater passion for magic than I already had! He helped open up channels of thought and creativity I didn't know I had! He made me want to be a better person and to strive to do magic at the highest level possible for the enjoyment of others rather than to just fool people (although that can be fun too if it is not done to harm in any way)! I could go on for hours about my time with Rannie however some of it I want all to myself! I will leave you with this......... UBSF is the real deal and very well could knock the magic world off it's axis! There are things that when and if released will melt minds! And YES he produced 15 coins from one hand right before my very eyes from what appears to be a very relaxed EMPTY hand! UNBELIEVABLE! I was given so much that day in so many ways that I have no idea how I could ever repay him! Not only the gift of magic and friendship but the chance to meet spend time with IMO one of the greatest magicians of our time! He also gifted to me material things that I will cherish always INCLUDING some of "THE 15" coins from his HK lecture! BTW Rannie, I think you gave me the broken ones because they sure don't work like that for me! LOL Thank you again my friend for one of the most memorable days of my life! I so look forward to our next encounter and I promise to put to use all that you taught me and I will do my absolute best to make you proud as my Sensi! Sincerely and respectfully, Mick |

Hi mickey glad all turned out well for you.....from the posts and the video clips from Rannie I can understand why you had such a memorable time .....
Rannie is an amazing guy who really is an all rounder and never stops to amaze me, I have never met him but I can see how much the magic means to him as this shines through everytime we see him perform. As fingers says you are very lucky to have met him personally ,i hope one day he might be doing a lecture at the Blackpool convention here in the uk and that would be a real treat to watch him perform live . Maybe us guys and (gals ) from the uk should spread the word about this talented young man so we can get to see him perform here ,would be real nice . Anyway mickey thanks for sharing your experience with us all the best... Blade.
If you put the time in....you will achieve ...

Haha this sounds so painfully familiar that I can completely relate. I am entirely jealous of the time you spent with Rannie but happy for you at the same time that you had that experience and were able to share it with us. Your story only confirms that Rannie is every bit the class act and genuine article that I have always thought him to be. --Jim |
