Because he blew his "Monkey Bar" routine. And he also failed with his "gorilla" street magic. It was a kid magician performing from his Barnes and Noble Mac King magic kit which has the cute little monkey as his main helper. The gorilla enjoyed "The Vanishing Bandana" routine using a banana. He thought a Bronks card "cheater" was actually a card "Cheetah."

Becaused he goofed and it turned out to be poison ivy instead.
