How does it look? I'm planning to simply put the briefcase on top.

Looks good to me. Looks very similar to the Eureka table base, but less expensive.

Fine SH but just for grins go to "The Sidewalk Shuffle" forum and check out this thread If you wanna learn how to street perform (jimmy talksalot)

Jimmy Talksalot's whole idea is that we don't need a table to do a good show. I have dropped my table from my street busking show and am dropping it from my kids show. I just use a pouch and perform out of that.

Sahunhong,

What do you think about this? It's from the same place...of course, I bought one of these from the local music store for less (around $25 US).

I got one of these, as I got one of the table tops from Frank Starsnik, and the two work together great. I don't see why this wouldn't work with a brief case.

Here's what I've been using recently: http://www.worldmusicsupply.com/keyboard......00BK.asp

When doing kidshows, I just take the lid off of the 30 quart prop tote and use it as a table top.

I recently bought the keyboard stand that Alan noted....I LOVE IT! I can use a large aluminum briefcase ($25 from Home Depot or Lowes), or even my small walk-around briefcase with built in close up pad on the stand. It's lightweight, easy to break down and set up, easy to carry....and it only cost $40. Very sturdy base with gripping rubber pads so you don't have to worry about the case sliding around on you. I still use the Leffler Suitcase Table when I've got lots of props to schlep around, but for smaller affairs with limited props, this set up is FANTASTIC!

I'll bet it's a lot heavier than the Eureka base. Also consider a wooden restaurant tray stand. they are light weight, look nice, and you can drill holes in the rails if you wish to attach servantes, etc.

At a MUSIC supplies store, I recently purchased a sturdy, metal, 50-dollar sheet-music stand. It has a folding table top with a telescoping pole -- with a tripod that also folds in. It packs small when the show is done. A great place to work on -- inside or out. I was amazed at the quality and the bargain, considering the prices at magic stores for "magicians' tables."

Sounds like a great idea.
