Just surfing in the internet I found another version of OOTW. It´s free, so I installed the Google pack to support the author and...here is my short review:
Well, it´s another OOTW, but it has a twist that I liked. The presentation of the manuscript is not good, and very schematic, but it has an interesting methodologic - presentational idea (although is an old concept). I think this idea has potential in reationship with OOTW effects. Final valoration: ok, it´s not the manuscript of the year, but it´s free (well, you should install Google Pack, I liked this form of marketing, because to me is free, hehe) and interesting. The manuscript can be found in http://allootw.googlepages.com Just my 2 cents |

Yesterday I did this version to a few magicians friends of me, and it killed them. (For laymen works well, too). I think this is a clever and unsuspected use for the principle involved.

Can anyone translate this for Mac users? Googlepack is not Mac-able.
Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up and for sharing the information, Aerie24.
However, am I missing something here? Am I just being anal-retentive and too cautious? What is a "Goggle Account" and "what's in it" for the author to be offering a "free" manuscript only to Google Account holders? Does he recieve money or other renumeration from Google for this? Is this free offer just another clever marketing scheme? I love the OOTW premise and I'd love to see this "version" but not to the extent of being Googled for the privilege. And getting a free copy by having to "give up" you email address, well,.... to me the detriments outweigh the benefits. I know that I am computer naive but I don't wish to have my email address placed on a bulk mailing list and nothing about this offer dissuades me from a belief that that is exactly what will happen if you give up your email address by responding to the free offer. Mariagi, May I ask which is your preferred version of OOTW?
Does anyone here do "It's a Small World" by Aldo Colombini? |

I personally favour one of Paul Harris's versions (I can't rememeber thr name of it) with the addition of a spectator shuffle and a Lennert Green A**** sep. at the start. Killer, and impromptu. Derren's is really good too.

Turk, I suppose the author gets money with the ads in the page. I didn´t get any suspicious spam in my Inbox after receiving the manuscript. May be somebody else has a review of this. (Sorry for my bad english)

I like the original Paul Curry version. Magicians always want to improve existing tricks and sometimes they can. But the more I read and research, I find that many of the original handlings are the best ( for me that is ).

I've researched this effect extensively. There is a version in the huge Stewart James volumes (SJ in Print and The James File) that is the best I've ever come across, including the original and my own version. I won't spoil the journey by giving you any more information than that...
