Really cool. That had to be some thrill to bungee jump without being able to see.
Congrats to the guy who did it. |

Too much nailing I think. Could use a tighter edit.
Nice job, Tod

Nice idea Oge. Yes, the nailing of the box took a little too long but I'm sure there was a reason for it - wink.
Well done. |

Dude, I have bungied before and it is NOT always fun
Ever thought about what it would be like to fall to one's death? That's about how it can feel to some folks screaming on the way down. To some fun, to others simply frightening as he**! Which is why I applaud your binded/blinded jump. Well done. Best, Tod

Todd - one gets a similar feeling when jumping out of a plane ..... I nearly bottled it (well I would have done) but I was strapped to another person---- so had no choice really! I was really scared the first few seconds then thought .....Shoot if it does go wrong there is nothing I can do about it .... So started to enjoy the view .... I don’t suppose you have time to go through that thought process with Bungee!
And the really scary bit on the way down was when our shoot (ha ha ha spelling joke!) had opened we went past another solo jumper and my very experienced instructor says "hold sh@@ that IS NOT RIGHT!". Now I had no idea what he was talking about but I was a touch worried! As it turned out we were OK - but the solo jumper (first timer) had a friction knot. Which was applying the breaks and he was barely moving - in any direction). If it had been any worse (the knot that is) the chute would not have worked at all! A very fortunate man. Needless to say as soon as we hit the ground the instructor (joint owner of the club) went straight in tot eh packers and "talked" to them. But it was a real buzz! I strongly recommend it! |
