Don't know where we are going or what will happen but currently getting smoked out and voluntary evac has begun close by. So if all my stuff goes up we will have a sad Halloween me thinks. Over 250 THOUSAND have been evacuated so far. SoCal is in a perfect fire storm. Some have been determined were started by some sick creep. Lots of himes lost. Fire Engines screaming by at the moment...100,000 acres gone...countless homes. Sucks. I'm bringing a puppet.

Take care! I hope the fires miss you and that they die down completely soon.

Hey, I just called your house, I was expecting the machine to pick up.

The phone just rang and rang, I assume you are still there, on the other line (with a real relative maybe)

Good luck. Stay safe.

You are my only fake dad... Other than Todd. (you came first)

Good luck to you, Doug, and anyone else here who might be affected by the fire.

"This fire will probably be the worst fire this county has ever seen", San Diego County Sheriff Bill Kolender said.

I bet the Goracle predicted forest fires like the ones hitting California now. Don't doubt the Goracle. He knows where you live. Just kidding. But see:

It is a funny coincidence that possibly the worst fire ever hits the USA, the same year the worst fires ever hit Greece. I'm not drawing any conclusions or linking them or anything like that, its just that I remember following the fires in Greece this past summer. I was actually in Greece this summer for a little while, during the fires. It is weird seeing the same thing happen now, in California.

Incidentally, Fox News is reporting that the fire might have been started by downed power lines.

Yes, things are definitely out of control down here in San Diego. I live in Chula Vista near the coast. The far eastern inland portion of Chula Vista is an area called Eastlake, and that is being evacuated as of 9:30 PM tonight as the so-called Harris Fire creeps slowly westward.

No fires in Detroit (nothing left to burn, and gas is too expensive for fire bombs). Come stay with us. My baby is up all night. If you can start lactating, it'd be perfect. Good luck Doug. I'd hate to be the fireman looking for survivors in your stuff. Charred mermaids and boiled eyeballs.

Doug, Please let us all know if you need anything along the way! Best of luck to you!

We dealt with the wild fires a few years ago here in Florida, it was scary so my thoughts are with you!

I spoke with Doug last night, he and Lori were still at home, waiting.

He said they'd go to Disneyland and wait it out.

again, good luck.
