Can the LA cups routine be done with people on the side of the performer?
Thanks |

I wouldn't advise it. It would probably be difficult to conceal the work.

Matt, as everyone says, just do it. Nike haha... Try any routine you prefer, and practice it until you get it perfect. One thing I read before about the final loads and wearing a jacket, don't feel in the need of. Maybe you have heard about Carl Andrew's tabble hopping, give it a chance. Your final loads could be concealed in any place. I've been practicing this routine for 2 years and I've received awesome rewards. This is not an intermediate or advanced routine, I consider this one easy, but check the aspect of the final loads I'm suggesting.
Have someone considered any NEW useful instrument for the C&B such as a wand. Is there something else out of the traditional routine that can be used in the C&B? Thanks! Que viva la magia!! |

Hi Matt,
I hope school is going well. Lay out a sequence, any sequence and practice it until it is firmly in your memory. Once you have the entire sequence down, shoot it on video from three angles: Dead on, 120 left and 120 right. Watch the videos with the mind of the rudest, meanest magician-spectator you've ever met. Examine with an unbiased eye the sections where you flash or simply look awkward. Elimanate the bad parts. Keep the good ones. Repeat. I spent far too much time tinkering with the methods I'd collected and not nearly enough time practicing and rehearsing. I sincerely believe it doesn't matter what moves you do, but how much you move your audience. It's about them. Good luck, let us know how it goes! KG |

Just a suggestion: make sure you view as many routines as possible. Don't try to emulate them; view them to see what makes them entertaining (or not) and apply the principles to your own routine.
One that I don't think was mentioned yet is Michael Vincent's wonderful routine. Check it out on YouTube. Rick
