It is absolutely amazing how much material is out on the Okito Box. There are a lot of wacky moves and turnover's and such, but they are spread out over a wide variety of literature and publications. I will be coming out with a compilation of my routines and moves probably mid-year (to add to the fodder). My biggest worry was duplicating someone else's work from 75 years ago. Oddly, the predominance of routines (at least that I've been able to find) were simply "out"-type variations with one or two coins. It is simply amazing what can be done with the Box nowadays - with the addition of the slot and Boston improvements, and, of course, sh**ls, you can do much more than was originally possible.

I use the Okito box, and the favorite routine I do is by Greg Rostami called "Houdini". It combines the use of the Okito box with Scotch & Soda and is a killer routine.....

Where can this be found in instruction form? I can work out most of what is going on, but it still would be nice to have the routine.

The hardest part looks like making the bxxx ring. It appears to be double recessed, easy enough to make if you live near a school that has a metalwork class.
You'd also need the special coin.

I get really annoyed when when people that haven't got a bloody clue about this game, decry the humble Okito Box as being non-commercial magic.

Really?

Watch this, and learn something!

Berry,
That was nice, he kept it simple yet amazed his audience. I bought my first Okito box in 1962 have used it ever since.

I think the most baffling/interesting routine for an Okito Box is Stahl's World's Most Expensive Okito Box Routine.
What do you like about it? The vanishes from the box? The two cards on the table...
