Hey, I think Mark is still in China, but he'll probably reply once he gets back into the States. I liked BtotheB 1 a little better than the sequel, but both are quality DVDs.

Ha....mark has made me a crap load of money and to top it off I end up taking credit for his creativity in the form of simplicity.
Everything in volume 1 and 2 (ok aside from the cat) is in my working repetiore and I barely make anything else. I remember when I first started reading marks posts on the Café about his videos and I almost wanted to come at him for being arrogant and cocky. I bought BTtB and have not looked back since. Mark wasnt arrogant...he was RIGHT! I will buy number 3 the second I find out it is available ( and jeez I hope its soon). |

Not long winded???? I didn't say a word!!!
Hey I am back from China had a blast. I'll try to post some things about it once I get around to it. There is a lot of pictures on BalloonHq.com. Buy a membership and do a search, best $100 (actually $95) you will spend for a 2 year membership. http://www.balloonhq.com/member/ tell Larry I sent you!! Wow number one is better than two?? Two had an extra balloon creation and a short film "Dog Gone". I am interested in the feed back.... tell me what you didn't (or did) like about the DVDs so I may make the next one better. You may PM me, but it would probably be more helpful if you all posted it here. BTW what is wrong with my cat design??? Our goal with BTTTB series is to bring fun to watch DVDs to the market that real twister in real situations can use. Most creations can be completed in 2 minutes or less with the least number of balloons necessary. Two FYI's: • BttB #3 we are discussing having it be an occasion theme DVD. Birthday, Anniversary, & Holiday balloon hats. Interested??? • In China I got to spend a lot of time with the amazing Ken Stillman ... we are contemplating teaming up for a east coast /west coast lecture weekend. One to be in DisneyLand Area California and one in the Disney World Area Florida. does anyone have any interest in such an endeavor? this is still in its infant stages, so don't go bugging Ken just yet!! Great to be back!!! It may be a year before I ever eat rice again.

I would love to see your hoilday hats as I think you are on to a winner with just making hats but would like to see a break down of your bike amout of balloons and main parts of it
and you not saying a word is great as some dvds can drag with the twister going on and on about a ear twist you show it and move on its a great way to learn thank you

I basically only make Mark's hats. Reading some of his posts here I decided that hats were mostly what I needed. I'm a magician and starting to do Birthday parties and I'm only a journeyman balloon twister. Mark's designs have even helped start a conversation to get a resturant gig doing magic and balloons. I'm sure both DVDS have pretty much all the figures you would ever need.
I'd be very interested in the birthday and holiday hats. It's hard to find hats that can be made quickly and look great.

There's nothing 'wrong' with the cat. I just don't like/make it.
I don't like shrimp cocktail or cheetos either and I catch a lot of crap for that too. Can't wait for BTB3 |

Mark--was that you a few years back with a standing monkey hat in Funny Paper? Still use that fairly regularly.
And two other requests for Volume 3: the lightening bolt and the little bunny seen in the opening film. Used the bolt at after-proms last May; very popular. Not to mention the leap frog to which I added a tongue. I worked out the bunny with the help of the penguin instructions from #2. Now please let me assuage my guilt by paying for them in #3. Tom |

I might wait until #4 to put it in. Two tone monkey... Shhhh don't tell everyone the bunny is actually a modified penguin!!! BTW I use a deep hook to create the front legs of the bunny. Similiar to the horse in #2.

Spreaking of the horse..I have real trouble with it. It's not very forgiving with preportions like some others. But BTTB #2 was the first time I had encountered the deep hook/apple twist. I'm gettin' it down...
My penguin is always twice as big as Mark's too. Looks totally fine and normal otherwise, just twice as big as the one on the DVD.

Ken said if it isn't original with me that I had definitely taken it to a new level. I don't buy others DVD's not because I don't want to ... more so I haven't had a need. So when I developed my style of balloon art it was basically in a vacuum, void of others influence. I hope that answers your question!
