HI all.
I am really struggling to ignite the phoenix fire gimmick. I am not sure if it is just me it feel so alkward. I tried holding a different flint striker mechanism (out of a clipepr lighter) and it lit really easily - but the thing is plastic and does not look like it will take the heat. Anyone got any ideas about how to adapt the metla flint stiker - it just feels too short! Also it doe not seem to want to hold much gas either. Any one had the same problem at all? Thansk Dave |

Hi Dave,
I just PM'd you. I can only say that I used to use the clipper gimmick and it did melt through time. The brass gimmick will take the heat. And if you replace the flint with a Ronson Flint ( the brass colored ones ) it will fire up quickly. As far as the feel for the striker...it will take some getting used to and if you have some suggestions for me then I would love to hear from anyone regarding this issue. Jim
