I use a "triple ply" 20 inch beach ball. It requires a little work to make them, but they are big and visual. The first step is to find good "quality", 6 panel/6 colored, either 20 or a 24 inch beachballs (even 36 inches, if you want to go real big) Here is the best source that I have found for really good beach balls, in all sizes. Go ahead and buy 3 or 4 balls for every one that you want to make. http://www.ballsonline.com/pc-1947-7-cha......all.aspx All you do is cut a small hole around the valve part of the ball. Be careful not to cut outside of the round patch of plastic that has the valve in the center of it. This will keep the ball from splitting on the seams later on. Make the hole as small as you can, but still be able to stuff a tightly rolled beach ball thru it. Then you roll up the next beach ball very tightly with the "North Pole (with valve ) at the top and the "south Pole" at the bottom. Roll horizontally (east to west, or vice versa) as tight as you can. Like rolling a big stogie. Then stuff it in thu the hole that you cut in the first ball, "south pole" first. Then inflate the inner ball, and adjust/allign the balls/panels together so that it is nice and balanced. For the next step, let the air out of the center ball and cut a circular hole in the inner beach ball Cut around the valve, with out cutting out if the plastic circle patch and then repeat. Three of four layers will give the ball nice weight and mass and make for a nice, big, colorful, visual spinning ball. It may take a few of these before you perfect the technique. However, once you do, you will love them. They pack small and play big. I have been using them for years... Of course, you may just want to find one that you can buy. Much easier, but not as colorful. AL
