I recall a thread several weeks back about Rick Thomas being in between shows. Looks like he has a show at the Stardust now. Has anyone seen it? Any new effects? I really enjoy Rick Thomas, and felt he is one of the best all around performers I have ever seen. Warm, down to earth, friendly personality. Great interaction with his audence. Nice slection of illusions. A very seasoned pro and a benchmark for the rest of us.

The Stardust was demolished in March 2007...you're reading articles from June 2005.

I was going to say...he left that hotel and was performing at The Orleans and that show has now been closed for a while now. You might want to check the dates on the article you read.

Stardust has been demolished. He has left the Orleans. I understand that he is touring some with his show.

Oh, gosh, sorry about that! The posting I'm reading is on "The Press-Enterprise" (www.pe.com) and is dated November 15, 2007.
http://www.pe.com/entertainment/guide/st......706.html Sorry for the bum steer on Rick Thomas. Glad to hear he is touring, but sure would love to see him back at one of the Las Vegas casinos again! After seeing all the magic and illusion shows there twice, we thought he was by far the best in so many various categories! |

This is all I know of... from what I hear, he is doing random resorts until he can pick up a set location.

Thanks for the link VideoKideo,
Its still tentative but he's expected to play a casino up here in Canada in Feb. He's got a unique gig on a cruise ship coming up as well. Some corporate client is renting an entire cruise ship for 2000 employees and Rick is the featured entertainment. He's got several other gigs lined up that will keep him busy for 2008 but I'd like to see him in a permanent venue again soon. Best, Tim |

The Stardust is gone.
I can remember when their sign was the BIGGEST in Las Vegas and I did a photo of it that ran in a national magazine. And after that, for several years the Stardust PR man comped me every time I came to town.
