I've been wanting to know what the Japanese word for cards is for quite a while now, I could imagine they might say some English-sounding word just like they call "Christmas" "Kurismasu", but Karuta seemed to be some specific card game, so I'm out of clues.

Anyone know what it is? And in Romaji please, I'm not very good with the Kanas yet. Smile

We have a Japanese Dollar store here in Seattle called Daiso where you can get Hanafudu cards for under $2.00. A real bargan as they are usually much more expoensive when you can find them in Asian Import Shops.
Once you see a deck of these cards you will understand the origins of the Hindu Shuffle.

'Card' in Japanese is 'Card', 'Kaado' if written in Romaji.
20 years ago, 'Trump'('Torampu' in Romaji) was more popular.
Today, we call 'Card Magic' as 'Card Magic' (Kaado Majikku in Romaji).
20 years ago, we called card magic as 'Trump Magic', but it is dying.

Your one off me is written in my blood.

I'm the hiphopapotamus, my rhymes are bottomless, sounds a little preposterous, spewing from my esophagus.
But, my ryhmes are so potent that during this small segment, I've made all the women in the last three threads pregnant.

I won't even tell you what yours is made off.

How do you know when your pen's run out of invisible ink?
