We have lost a true legend in Evil Kanevil. He was like Houdini in some ways. Defining death. Only Houdini’s stunts were more controlling. Kanevil didn’t know whether a jump would work or not.
I met him once at the airport when I was working for the TSA. All of the guys went crazy when they found out. Everyone wanted to meet him. He was so nice to us. He looked much older than his age. He could barely walk. It’s a cliché, but he will be missed. Even though he hadn’t done a stunt in over twenty-five years, it’s still sad that this American icon is gone. Though, it’s also a relief because he has been suffering for so long. |

When I broke my leg as a child...I remember thinking that it was not as bad as what Evel must have gone through in one of his wrecks. I even took my Evel toy to the hospital...
