The new Coen Brother's movie (they directed Fargo). Critics say it is a masterpiece, and the trailers certainly make it look so.
I am going to see it tomorrow. Thoughts?

Anyone ever notice when a movie comes out they never promote it by using quotes from those that think it sucked? My thoughts are that you and Adolph need to be working on the video you promised for Monday.

Well, that would be bad publicity wouldn't it? I will see the movie later today, and will give my verdict ASAP.

Any more thoughts?

LOL!!!!

Just got back from it... all I have to say is WOW, the Coens are geniuses. The ending ****ed a lot of people off though. But not myself, as I know that the ending they were looking for just wasn't life. The movie was a bloody, gory work of art.

The ending was a very open one... all the main character's dead except for the psycho killer and the one man who could stop it all. The sheriff, who just retired. We expected him to come out of retirement and stop the killer, but that just isn't life. That would have been very much a deus ex machina ending, and not real at all. So no, the movie ended with the retired cop talking to his wife in the morning. Then the screen went black, the credits rolled, people were confused, and I smiled. End of masterpiece.

Thanks Michael for spoiling the end, that was a very immature thing to do, and I truly hope you wise up. I'm sure their are people who wanted to see this movie, including me. Very childish....

Ladies and gentleman, you have just been advised what movie to see by a 14 year old that thinks Nazi humor is art.

Hey Micheal just a thought, maybe you should read the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel. I'm pretty sure you will have a whole new outlook on your "Art".

You honestly think I consider The Frenches ART?

Anyway, let's not get off-topic. The movie's a masterpiece. I am a movie junkie, and no, I don't like teen comedies. I am into dramas.

Why does this make the Coens' geniuses? They didn't write the book or invent the story. Cormac McCarthy did.

Before you declare the Coens geniuses for this movie you should figure out what, if anything, they did different and better than in the original novel.

Michael....if you were to become a fishing fanatic and give up magic, which would be a good thing for all involved, would you change your name to Michael Fisherman?

Schindler's List was a masterpiece of a book and a film.

I haven't seen this film yet, because I'm incredibly swamped with homework, but thank you Michael, for ruining the ending.

Now I know the ending to a "masterpiece".

He didn't ruin it, just don't remember that everyone dies at the end but those three people he mentioned as well as the sheriff never stepping up....

It's been given away, however you look at it. But so what, see it anyways. It is a good movie, unless knowing the ending is just too traumatic to overcome.

One really should preface his post with "Spoiler alert" or something similar when detailing a new movie. Even if they do not believe that it's a spoiler.

That one spoiler kind of caught me off guard and I had read too much before I realized what had been done. Obviously, I'm not alone. I personally would have said "sorry for the screw-up".... but whatever. It doesn't matter now, if one must be prompted.

Spoilers don't interfere with my enjoyment of a movie, but it's just a matter of respect for others.
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

I thought you never read a whole thread Josh, like me, and only read the last post.

Have you been taking sensible pills?

Guantanamo getting to you?

Corona.
