I'm looking for some effects that involve diamonds (the gem not the suite), gold, other jewels, champaign, etc.
Any ideas? Walk around stuff. This is for my 17 year old daughter. Thanks! |

A while back someone suggested doing either a "Spellbound" or "Wild Coin" routine changing coal to diamond(s).
For cards, the trick "Picking Off the Pip" involves removing a diamond pip from a 3 and changing it to a 2. Normally no removed diamond is shown but there is a way to add that. "Jumping Gems", "Gem Busters", "Hot Rod" all are jeweled props. A gold finger ring and velvet cord routine is another idea. |

Someone was doing a very nice cups and balls routine with a diamond mounds of them actually, as the final loads. Used chrystals.
There are things you can do with necklaces as well. Mobius |

Thanks! I was thinking about a necklace or even a bracelet.
Here's what I've come up with so far that might work. I'd love feedback on any of these items. 6 Bill Repeat - Mark Wilson Course in Magic Gem Hot Rod Floating Rose Floating Diamond Ring $1 to $100 Alchemists Dream - Vial with iron shavings, turns into gold, turns into Diamonds(possible)? 3-D Cash - 4 ones turn into fives and then into hundreds. By Mark Allen Bling! - Spec selects a gem and it's predicted by magician. Hank Lee Raven - Turn coin into a diamond Hundy 500 5 and 1 transpo Cash on Demand - Write a check for cash and suddenly it changes into cash. Credit Card Cash 3 Golden Shell Game - Perform with a diamond or a pearl instead of a pea I think she could come up with a pretty cool "Glamorous" show. She's 17 and I see what all those hip-hop videos are like. A lot of throwing money around like it's of no worth. I want to do something along those lines. I think she could build a great niche routine out of that and do well with the "South Florida lifestyle" all around us here in West Palm. |

One of my more reliable routines for walkabout is doing Crazy Man's Handcuffs with jewelled elastic bracelets, which I can easily slip off my wrists to use for that really impromptu feel. It looks much more sparkly and fun than using a pair of ugly postman's bands, it's a normal, logical part of my costume and the gaps between the jewels make it look even more like the bands are melting through each other.

She could easily wear a braclett and take that off and do a ring on rope using the braclet and some red ribbon form her hair etc. It could be a clver routine but using items fit to the theme.

Following up on Kyle's idea, don't forget about vanishing the bracelet and then having it reappear on the wrist- easily done with a dup and a sleeve.
