No one has said definitively if it was an OD, as far as I've heard yet. It's just the assumption. There seems to be a lot of conclusions being jumped to at the moment.
But if it was, the drug in question is a sleeping pill, Ambien. Don't know if you guys no much about that stuff. It's very possible to OD on it accidently. I know more than a few folks that take it or took it for a while.. They did things like drive across the state, empty the refrigerator, mow a lawn, and climb trees all while under the influence of Ambien and have no recollection of what they'd done. It's not unreasonable to think that it's possible to take an Ambien, forget you'd already taken, take another, forget, take another, forget. . . My daughter ended up in the hospital because of this kind of thing. It's a nasty drug for sure that many doctors happily prescribe for their patients experiencing sleep problems.
What would Wavy do?

No one knows yet if it was actually an overdose, though that does seem likely. Even then, it may not have been intentional or the result of abusing the prescriptions: it could have been an innocent, but tragic mistake or an improper mix of drugs. He was also apparently suffering from pneumonia at the time of his death which also likely contributed. One thing they have said is that it's highly unlikely that it was a suicide. The idea that he was a drug addict or that he was abusing any kind of drugs is, at this point, completely baseless. It's probably best to leave out any speculation as to his character until more definite results have been obtained from the police and medical professionals -Jim

Didn't Suzanne Pleshette and Allan Melvin die January 17th though? I heard that they were looking forward to The Dark Knight. On other news, Marlon Brando died. He would have made a great Penguin.
Rest in peace Heath Ledger. Rest in peace Suzanne Pleshette. Rest in peace Allan Melvin. Rest in peace Marlon Brando.
