I was particularly interested in more information on the effect "Polaroid":
"You walk up to anybody (someone you just met) in the world. They select a card. You use that card to "take a picture" of them. You wave the picture like you would a polaroid. The card explodes (not really) but there is fire and smoke. Their face is now branded into the card. There is no mistake, it is them." "Did I mention that your in short sleeves, and nothing but the card is in your hand?"
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

The intro video demo was a bit odd. He says this is to answer his crtics that say his magic isn't real and that it in fact is real. Hmmmm.

Is everyone too busy wondering whether or not they are real to actually buy them?

I have tried to buy a few of this effects, in which I am curious, and wondering.
However the site always says: Shopping Cart Temporarily Down It is actually IMPOSIBLE to buy them. Every time I say to my self: "lets give it a try". I just receive that message, and makes me keep away from them. So the more I try it, and the more I think it, the more disapointed I get . |

Cory told me that his effects are being evaluated by a famous TV magician who considers performing them. Also Tim Trono is looking at them. That's why he is not selling any effects yet. I believe it is fair to post this so you guys know what's going on.

Hello everybody!
I am making this post without Cory's knowledge (but am sure he won't get mad on this) because this brand (artistic street magic) is close to be called a SCAM! I have seen almost all his effects and they are CRAZY! Cory is pretty close to releasing all his effects (well not all) in full throttle with a new site and videos. I am pretty sure that once these effects are released the forum is going to be stormed by loads of negatives. WHY! Because they are not your average "easy" effects. These effects are for people who can pull of hard stuff to make effects look like magic. Infact, a warning is going to be put up on site that's says - "If you cannot assemble a model without getting frustrated, or you have little or no patience... DO NOT BUY!" Cory doesn't believe in mis-directing the camera or his potential clients in his teasers. So you can expect couple of cuts wherein he says that he has to do something to mis-direct his spectator but after that is done this is how the effect continues. He is a member of Café and you can reach him if you have any queries. All I can say is - be patient for couple of weeks and you will FIND a new house of MAGIC! Its called "Artistic Street Magic" & its coming.

I want to know if the moves are awkward. Why should I just take his word at it that they are not? All the effects have been done before. What he is presenting are different methods (possibly) that haven't been used before. Not really a bad thing. The videos teasers were for the most part uninteresting. To be blunt, I didn't see any that made me want to continue watching...no excitement. It was like watching some of those youtube videos of kids doing poor presentations of card and coin magic. Where's the audience reactions? (ok I know in other videos these are overdone...but I'd still like to see that these work in real world situations...especially for the price of each DVD). The videos themselves were blurring to me. Anyone else? I hope this is not the same quality you get on the DVDs. I've said it before...what is the deal with one trick dvds? I know you can swindle a lot more money out of people that way. I just don't understand why I should buy a dvd just for one trick. Why can't he put all the effects into one DVD? This is why I like books. From what I did see on the videos, the handling of the effects were not smooth (Clearful took way to long. There are more visual, without cover, effects available on the market). Don't quite understand Drip2 personally. I can't see anybody doing this in any real world situation. What person in their right mind is gonna let some stranger go up to their vehicle and get part of the way in (door open...) just to show something "cool". Also, how the heck does one put this in their act...oh yeah this is street magic. No money...just creepy ego stroking. |

Greetings,
There are two kinds of people.... believers and skeptics. The skeptics will have to wait until some believers make a purchase and post a review. Then the skeptics can read the review right here and make a choose. Then the skeptics will be turned into believers. The agreement in meant to thwart off lazy magicians. No one is doing these effects like me. I give you a completely clean effect from start to finish. If I don't show you something, it's because its the secret that your paying for. If you don't believe, just wait for a review. Ok, now I want to say this....If you can't juggle/and or build a model, or are just plain lazy, then please don't waste your/my time or your money. I only create magic that is absolutely impossible from the start of the effect to the end of the effect. There is a lot that is going on in each effect. Look at Strung, a borrowed ring vanishes out of thin air and appears on your shoelace(you are in shorts and a t-shirt.)The spectator can look at you shoe from 1 inch away! I'm not merlin, so there is obviously a lot going on. Take a look at Drip. You have nothing in your hands except a coin, you show both sides of your hands very fairly. You do the secret move right in front of the spectator and they will have absolutely NO IDEA what you just did. It's kind of like popping your knuckles. They see you "pop your knuckles" but what you really did, was get something that is used for the trick. The coin goes on the glass, and the magic happens. Immediately they see the coin underneath the glass. They also see that your hand on top of the glass is empty. This is exactly how this illusion should look, totally impossible. The DVD's show the entire process from start to finish. I take you through each step of the build, showing you extreme close-ups. My magic isn't for everyone. Only certain people that have the dexterity that it takes to assemble a model without getting they "modeling glue" everywhere, will be able to do the tricks labeled "hard". You might be able to get a friend to help you. You will also have to practice a lot to make the trick look natural. The agreement started out as a joke, I have seen people give harsh reviews, only to be followed up by someone saying they "love the trick". I give 190% in every effect I create. Just because some lacks what is necessary to make my tricks a reality doesn't mean they should be allowed to post a negative review in any forum. I'm going to take the agreement down, but the warning will stay put. So if your lazy or you only like simple, easy-to-do magic, then DO NOT BUY anything on my site that is labeled "hard". There will be no instant gratification received, after your purchase these(hard)effects. Only after careful assembly and lots of practice will you receive the gratification from these effects. I'm sorry that I can't figure out an easier way to do these impossible things. The only thing negative that can be said, is that some of my stuff is hard to assemble/perform. So I warn you ahead of time, you will encounter a challenge, you will get frustrated, you will throw more than one in the trash. But if you have the tenacity that it takes, you too will be performing magic that is unexplainable. As far as any question that has or has not been answered, I'm answering now. You see the videos... there might be some angle issues, there might be complicated assembly. The camera is hard to trick, If I have tricked any of you, then you too will be able to trick people. You might have to ask them to stand in a certain spot. My tricks can all appear to be impromptu, the more impossible the effect, thee more that's going on. Look at Submerged, they can look at the bottle in their hands, they can put the cap on. You don't even need the cap. After you smack the coin in, both of your hands are EMPTY(except the bottle). They see the coin flop through the bottle with the precision of an acrobat doing a somersault. Not like others that you slam through and it seen WILDLY appearing inside. They just saw a completely empty bottle, now there is a coin inside, and there is no coin in your hand. This effect is DEFINTLY NOT impromptu, but you perform it like it is. Look, MAGICAL friends, I am a person just like all of you, and I love magic as much as all of you. I just want the same consideration that you would like if you were the new guy. Give me a little credit for letting you all know the truth about the difficulty factor with my stuff. Most of my stuff is GIMMICKED to the MAX!!!!, But, LOOK at the end results, perty sweet right? I'm adding the shopping cart and digital delivery service this week. I should be open for business real soon(ten days or so). If you look at the effects you will see how they all look. you can see with your own eyes what's going on. Did you read the post? The agreement is a joke, the warning is for real. I just want people to know that some of the gimmicks take hours to make. If you don't have steady hands, you won't be able to construct most of them(Hard). I was trying to eliminate any negative review because someone saw something that looked cool, and when the received it is was quite complicated. They tried to assemble the gimmick and gave up. Most of my stuff is so precision, that there is little or no room for error. If some one didn't pay attention to exactly what I was saying during the build, and there gimmick was a fraction of a hair off,the trick won't work. They might post a review that my effect was junk when in fact they did not assemble properly. Imagine if you were selling the disappearing silk trick, but you had to make the silk, and the tt, from common household items. If someone did not pay attention to the instructions and their silk was to big, it would stick out of the tt and be seen. This would be their fault not the creator/instructor. If this person made a bad review because they could never trick any one, that wouldn't be fair to the creator. That is all I meant by the agreement. Here is a little teaser for anyone that likes money effects... The spectator will see the bill change(like its bleeding) into a different bill. This is done with absolutely no cover. You can hand the bill out and your hand are completely empty. Sound impossible? Nothings impossible! Look, people, you can say what ever you want, I can take it. I'm like a RINO, I was an only child, my mother raised me alone, until she was killed violently in a wreck when I was 12. My best friend died in my arms after crashing at over 100 mph. There is nothing you guys can say or do to stop me from making my dreams come true. I am an inventor, I love performing too, but I don't have the time. I create so much my wife hates magic now. If you don't like the performances, buy the trick, record yourself, and I will put you on the site. I know that you can't please everyone all the time, so... Let the bashings begin. Thank again, Cory Chapin P.S. To the nice gentleman who said that ClearFull took to long, How fast can you do it?(I got it down to just under 3 seconds)

I can do a bill switch of my own design in .5 seconds with no cover but that is not the point. I'm just saying it (the video) doesn't sell the effect in relation to the text.
Quick point Cory...make paragraphs for each point so it is easier to read. I won't rehash everything here that we are discussing in PM but I will say this again...skeptics don't become believers, they become knowledgeable. If you are so worried about negative reviews and people not being able to make a precision gimmick...make it yourself and sell the gimmick. |

Plungerman, and friends,
Each gimmick is different for each person, no two gimmicks are the same. Sorry about the type job, I don't usually type that much. Your right, it is a little hard on the eyes to read. I'll buy your bill switch for $100.00 P.M. me, I love money tricks.
