Gary, I discovered that as well, when I asked some magic buddies about it here locally the main trick the "ivanish" was found in a old kids magic book, I don't know the exact source but everyone was fimilar with the method in general, ill try and find a source if I have the time

First, it's impossible for anyone to have read every children's magic book. I've read an awful lot of magic books and I've never seen anything like iVanish in print anywhere.
Even if it turns out that Ben independently came up with a similar idea I'm sure the touches that make it look good have never been explained before. I also doubt any of the other vanishes, ideas or routines are in a children's book. To be fair, I think you should have found the book before making statements that iVanish may be in a children's book. |

For me, I think quarters would be best. Which works because I want to borrow a quarter to do the eye to eye trick.

All I was saying is when I showed this to other magicians they were already fimailar with the main idea. I said this because the ad copy makes it sound like it fools everyone, I have no doubt performed well this will fry lay people, but some people only perform for other magician, so I thought it worth mentioning. I like this dvd, and there is no way a childerens book will be as in-depth and all of that, was just saying the "core" idea is not a new one |

I like the looks of this, although I would only show this one to adults. In fact, I would be very leary of performing this anywhere near kids. You know, monkey see monkey do.

I guess you don't want kids to copy your performance of iVanish lest they actually put the coin inside?

When I perform and there are rude children, I offer to teach them a trick and pass out "karate coins" and Do Ivanish. The blood, the screams...it's very funny.

My mentor, Lyndsay Rietschel, used to perform that effect with an Australian one cent piece all the time. This was back in the 1970's...

I actually released this to the Café this past summer.... check out this link for proof: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......m=221&36
It is the effect called Contact Lens and it was included in this free ebook after creating it earlier this year. The creator of this vanish, is he a Café user perchance?

I haven't quite got this down yet, but really like this DVD.
I really like the way Bob films his DVD's. Does he use a different type of camera than others? Is it the lighting?
