There are a few cougars that I would love to work with...LOL...
A cougar is also known as a attractive older female!! I don't think PETA will have a problem with that, however I think my wife will. James |

Oh I don't know if their props are poorly made. There are some props made by Creative Illusions.

Well, you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. Although I am curious as to why you think the illusions built by them are no good.

Well that's why I will stay away from using wild animals in a show. The cougars sounds interesting though, do they bite....

All,
These guys are awesome. Thanks for the link they are very entertaining and just because they use animals in their act doesn't mean that they are wannabes. Pretty much all magicians are wannabes in some way, shape or form. We use common quotes, similar props and sadly sometimes whole acts. I think that these guys are the next S & R. A perfect replacement. IMVHO! BYUDAD |

I know that many will trash the hype, the plan and the marketing in this latest video, but I was impressed. It has the look of a pitch video to generate interest in a tv deal. The 10 year old Danny "Partridge" Bonaduce manager is an incredible gimmick. I wish them much success - they are poised to be the next "overnight" sensation (thrity years in the making)!

Thanks for those of you defending FERCOS.
Fercos are not S&R wannabies, Fercos are better, different and not gay. They are my personal friends. Very down to earth hard working people who train their own animals, clean the ****, build and repair some of their props, what is wrong with being multitalented? Zuzana,
First off it is your opinion that they are better than S&R, and many would argue that opinion. They are different but have a similarity to style. And there is absolutly nothing wrong with being gay. Daniel |

Las it is fake. it is okay to use FAKE fur, not real fur for anything, including trim.

Daniel, where in my post did I say there was anything wrong with being gay?
You seem rather defensive about the issue (my feeling /opinion of course.) Stop assuming you know what I am thinking, no magician can know that. I am libertarian, as long as I am left alone I leave others alone, regardless of who they sleep with, as long as it is not my man, I don't care. I only mentioned that gay part because many people wrongly assume FERCOS are gay simply because S&R are, so I was just saying it as a fact, NOT as criticism of homosexuality. I agree that saying FERCOS are better than S&R is my opinion, again, where did I ever say it was an undisputable fact? (On the other hand, as a woman, I am supposed to be right all the time, right?) ;-) When I saw S&R in 2000 or 2001 I was hoping to see more animals, less dancing and costumes which are boring to me. FERCOS are more hands on with animals even on stage, laws permitting, in TN they were not allowed to take the cats out of the cage/props, I didn’t like that. Laws on big cats are getting worse and it is harder to find jobs with big cats or be allowed to do hands on shows anymore. Even in areas where state laws allow you to take the cats out, USDA often requires some other barriers/means to protect the public, such as metal cable, and you know how much pain it is to use cables and big cats in the box. |

Ok I went back to the 1st message where Daniel asks:
<<""Hey everyone. Does anyone know anything about the fercos brothers? Also what's the "siegfried and roy" wanna bees show like?"">> This tells me that you Daniel never seen FERCOS show? If not, how can you claim SR are better, did you 'just' heard or were told ? Like animal rights freaks claim circus animals are abused, because another AR freak told them so, but they likely never even been to circus themselves? Are you are basing your conclusions on facts or Pure Magic? BTW, FERCOS is one big 'F', not fercos I am so tired of people repeating slogans without having any factual data or experience to back up their claims. |

How many uninvolved people (meaning audience, not owners/trainers) in the USA were killed by a big cat during the magic show???
How many pedestrians were killed by cars on the sidewalk just walking or waiting for a bus, or having a plane crash in their yard. Should we require perimeter fences on city sidewalks and metal ‘roof’s above our yard to make the world super safe? How much liberty and overregulation are you willing to give up for little extra ‘perceived’ safety’? Zuzana |

OK - Enough let's get back on track this topic was about the Fercos brothers show and not about animal rights. I saw the show in Dollywood this summer and enjoyed it for what it was entertainment. I have seen S & R in Vegas (twice) at the Mirage and "no" in my opinion only the Fercos brothers show was not as enjoyable to me as S & R. With that said would I go see the Fercos brothers show again? Yes because I like Magic and being entertained.
These are just my thoughts Shawn O'Brien |

If you want to keep being entertained with animal shows, then you need to help animal owners/entertainers fight the exotic animal bans, many of which are pushed for by animal rights.
Because if the animals are banned, there will be no animal shows and then you will NOT be having any opportunity to be entertained by animal shows. All these things are related, you cannot live in a bubble, you cannot ask for the animal magic shows but at the same time ignore all the AR stuff going on. Peta had audacity to go after exotics and Vegas animal shows when Roy was in the hospital, how mean is that. Many cities or venues are now banning or cancelling these exotic animal shows because of the pressure extreme animal rights groups put on them, plus the crazy insurance requirements and fears after Roy got injured. If you only saw the Fercos Dollywood show, you didn’t see what is BEST about their show, hands on with the big cats, when they take the animals out of the cages, the grand finale of having lion, leopard, tigers wheeled on the stage together on the cart sitting next to each other at the end of the show, outside of the cage/box of course, or when their black leopard Sarina jumps from the high tower into Tony’s arms….you didn’t get to see that in TN because of exotic bans on animal contact and over regulation, you didn’t see the Fercos show at their BEST. Or when lion Sinbad appears in a box, they take him out of the box, he just lays down on the stage and goes to sleep, that is comical/funny/entertaining, audiences love it, then Ferdinand rides the lion off the stage, but in Dollywood you can not see that because of laws. Or when their sweet male white tiger Picasso is out of his box and drinks his milk bottle and they joke it is white Russian drink, that is cute and funny, but you need the cat out of the box to do that on stage too. If you want to see Fercos full show, you might have to travel outside of the USA, they just did Central America show few months ago and got to do the real animal show there. Zuzana |
