I'm in the process of designing the second version of my own full-deck stack, and one of the things I'd like to do is work in some variation of Shufflebored. I was wondering if anybody else had done this, or if people had advice on doing this? For instance, what sorts of revelations would be too weak, or too strong? What sorts of things point towards a "too perfect" explanation in the eyes of an audience?

Apologies if this sort of guidance is covered in any of Aronson's work. Out of shame I have to admit I'm only familiar with it through Lennart Green's take on the routine.

The Tamariz stack is only one faro shuffle (in faro, if I remember correctly) away from a great Shufflebored stack!

A great shuffle bored sequence sets from Aronson Stack. Only 1 card has to be repositioned. The sequence itself is very strong indeed.

Scott,

Could you dwell on that?

With the deck in Tamariz stack, give it one in faro shuffle. Next, double- or triple-undercut 8 cards from the bottom to the top. To perform Shuffle-Bored, break the deck at the 8C, and proceed as you normally would in Shuffle-Bored.

Your predictions:
There will be 21 cards face-up.
The face-up pile will contain 13 red cards.
All the black cards are clubs . . .

. . . except for the King of Spades!

Resetting is difficult, however. Smile
