...what?
I don't really have an opinion, yet. To this date, my single favorite was Doom, but I'm not sure I would call it the best. What *is* the best? All genres are to be included. Comparing Doom and Tetris may be silly, but I'm starting the thread so I'm making the rules--rules all of you are going to break anyway, so why not make them like I want? Jeff |

Fritz is the standard for computer chess, although there are also some other very strong programs as well.

Not sure if it ever made it onto the PC but my favorite game ever was Elite. The original Space Trading/Fighting game.
When it came out it was years ahead of anything I had seen and was a totally immersive experience. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elite_(computer_game) Loved it |

Missle Command was my favorite when it was on a stand-alone, quarter-eating machine. Now that it is available for PC, I will say Missile Command.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

One of my all-time favorites, at least one that I still have memories of playing way back when would be the Ancient Land of Ys. More contemporary though, and by that I mean 10 years ago, I would say Kings Quest VI and Sam & Max Hit the Road.
