CONGRATULATIONS!!! This is a GREAT documentary!!!

This was a great documentary. Todd was terrific as always and it was a true pleasure getting to see performances from Nippulini, Harley and others. Todd just to let you know you made my wife cry both with the parts where Krista and you were discussing how you met and the proposal, etc. (this was tears of happiness) and the part where you were talking about Melvin (tears of sadness). It was captivating, anyone who would say anything bad about this doc, definitely isn't with it. Congrats.

I must admit, I got a little teared up when the Melvin talk happened. Although I didn't get as teary as Todd did, multiple times, throughout the film.

Nick approached me about his idea for American Carny and I gave him carte blanche to do what he wanted. I say this because I had very little to do with it other than be filmed and open a few door to others for Nick. So, if you like it, all credit should go to Nick. I am glad he did it because it captured a lot that I think will be of interest to those in the future. It sprawls all over the place and it is a rather goofy film, but I am glad it is what it is. It is a nice time capsule for a special moment in the world of the sideshow.
