My regular web hosting connection (LunarPages) can no longer forward my emails to Yahoo and that makes them worthless to me. (They have also failed to respond to my questions of February 2007.)

It's time to find a new web hosts. One of the most important parts to me is forwarding my emails to Yahoo. Not only does that allow me to check my emails in hotel lobbies and public libraries without unpacking the car, but their SPAM control is one I trust.

After all of these years of Internet I can't honestly say that a website has ever gotten me a booking. However, it does save me a lot of interview time for promotion once a deal is made. (It's just a prettier fax machine.)

Suggestions?

I suggest Google's free email hosting service (not to be confused with GMail)

You can get an account here:
https://www.google.com/a/

It works really well, the only complicated part is that you have to create a few DNS records, but this is "fairly" easy.

I wouldn't have a website and e-mail service on the same physical webhost server. That's why the Google solution is great, they host the e-mail for you yet you're able to keep the custom domain name in the e-mail address.

Blue Host has excellent customer service and a lot of nice features. (Including unlimited add-on domains, if you need to have mulitple web sites.

Bob, I will second BLUE HOST .com I have been with them for several years and have never had a problem. They are very customer service orientated and send you emails when something might be going on. I use my .com email addresses and I have them all sent to my Yahoo account which is really great all I have to check is one email account and then I am done. I have 3-email addresses all ending in the .com and they are all forwarded to my Yahoo account. I currently pay around $ 96.00 for my Website Hosting and my Domain name. I also have a second Domain Name and I pay $ 10.00 a year for that name.
