I'm not being strange here ... I just wanted an honest opinion from the females.
Thanks

I think he has a body of a Greek god and I would like to take my hands and...

:goof:

Well any way...

That's about it.
I don't care too much for his magic.

Yeah I like Criss Angel's magic. I read his book and watched a show.
His magic is a bit extreme and there's a lot of 'watch and wait wait wait',
so it's good he has a nice bod.
However, I've moved on to Brad Christian and Jay Sankey.
Two hot guys with magic I can 'get into'.
A lover of all things magical. And golf...oh and let's not forget chocolate, I love chocolate.

Criss Angel pretty much turned me off the moment I saw him.

He still does.

The first time you saw him, or the first time you heard him?
Big difference there.

I think he must have been a very, very attractive teenager. But now, the thing that I think most when I see him is "grow up" !. He still has good looks, though.

If he looked like he showered once in a while, then perhaps he could be found to be mildly attractive...

Do I like his work? Not usually...
His style? Not at all...
His attitude? Even less than his style...

So, no for me.

But, when I take into account the public as a whole... then I'd have to say yes..."girls" like Criss Angel--the teenaged ones who--I would actually consider girls...

Were you referring to all females? Then still, a majority is a yes on that... It makes me shudder to think...

Nell...

I 100% agree with you.

His ego is way to big for me. Huge turn off.

Indeed, it's the adolescent ego that suits teens that lessens his "value" now. On the other hand..., the other guy he quarreled with in "phenomenon" had some big ego too. I wouldn't have a drink with either of them, now I'm in my 30's, but in my teens, I must admit, I would have loved them both.

Jim Callahan was just an odd and scary individual. lol.

I will say... CA got some of my respect when he challenged Callahan that night. But not enough of my respect to say that I am a "fan" of his.

And I believe you are right, Rosemary. I can see why some of the teen girl population loves him (and guys for that matter....) and not going to lie... He has a nice body. But that's about it. lol.

Hi there ladies,
Looks like the real magic is here. But please let's keep the gods and bodies out of magic as an entertainment. Criss Angel??? Well (a well is a deep subject).
Nothing else to add. My magical theatrical teacher once told me: Much like Grasshopper (remember David Carradine?) When you leave me remember this, any good manager and or agent can take any idiot from the streets and in 24 hours make him a star. My Theatrical teacher was mentored by Harry Blackstone Sr.
Magically yours.

What?? Please!
If the question was, "Who's your favorite actress?"
Not one guy would say that girl who played Jane Hathaway on the Beverly Hillbillies.
No, it would be some beautiful woman.

Sex appeal has, and always will be, a popular part of entertainment.
And there is nothing wrong with that.

Besides, I think we all have said pretty much the same thing.
He's (Chris) nice to look at, but when he opens his mouth he loses everything.

I just found it odd for a man to say keep the "gods and bodies" out of entertainment.
When every male illusionist I have seen has beautiful women, in skimpy outfits, dancing around on stage.

I may have misunderstood the post, but something seemed odd about it.

No, you read it correctly I think. I find it odd too. Take a look at the thread I started on sensuality and sexuality in magic - especially the discussions about my student Angela Funovits on Phenomenon! You'll be amazed at what the men say!

It's true. Most male magicians seem to think female magicians should dress like this: http://www.yandy.com/Sexy-Tuxedo-Bikini.aspx

Haha... Tim, that's the scariest thing I've ever seen! I most certainly agree with the point you make. I think there is a fine line between sexy and trampy that often gets crossed too many times in this business. The real talents can work sex appeal to their advantage without the need of über-skimpy costumes--just my opinion, as a magician and costume designer. I doubt I stand alone in this, but most women in the field still don't understand this.

As I stated on another thread, I've never had trouble being respected as a female in magic, but then again...I don't dress like an exotic dancer. Anyone else see a correlation here?

Tim,

Actually that's how they think their assistants should dress! But if they are going to be the Magician then they better look as conservative as a school marm.

I've spoken to a lot of "experienced" magicians about how a female magician should dress. Inevitably the answer is the same:

Tails with no pants.

Personally, I think it looks like you've forgotten to put your pants on... s many female magicians do dress like assistants though.

Nell, as scary as that outfit might look, I bet Snakebabe would wear it! lol

Well... maybe it's just me, a child of the 80's.
But I always liked Motley Crue, Poison, and the others.
How can you not like Chris Angel?
