Well... maybe it's just me, a child of the 80's.
But I always liked Motley Crue, Poison, and the others.
How can you not like Chris Angel?

Haha...somebody emailed that to me the other day... Funny stuff...I believe this was before he changed the spelling of his name and was performing magic as "Angel". Oy...

Yup, and went on to become a member of Congress from Pennsylvania. Even had a hissy fit because Buddy Ebsen wouldn't campaign on her behalf.

I'd agree primarily with randy.

The mouth, get up, performance style... and the ears do the negative job though. No offense to any CA fans~

As for girls loving him- Uhm Paris and Brit 'dated' him, so I guess he has appeals on some~.

The real talents can work sex appeal to their advantage without the need of über-skimpy costumes--just my opinion, as a magician and costume designer. I doubt I stand alone in this, but most women in the field still don't understand this.

Especially when they are being told by guys to hike their skirt up on stage because that is showbiz.

Morris Wanchuck (about the Icecapades): I don't like the way they cover... all up with the feathers, you know, Reg? They are so beautiful. They oughta cut the costumes up higher on the thigh, so you can see more.

Dennis Lemieux: You make me sick when you speak, Morris.

Morris Wanchuck: This isn't art. This is sex.

To the original question
"Do girls like Criss Angel?"

I've been in a room with my nieces when his show came on, ages 13 to 20.
They were all disgusted and mocked him every step of the way.

One of them commented how (and keep in mind, she's a goth) that she doesn't like any man who can't decide his own style and needs to have people tell him how to dress. He started out all gothy, now he looks like a rip off of Jon Bon Jovi.

Do I like his personal look/style? nope. I need to agree with my niece.
Do I like his magic? no, and I'll stop that comment there
Do I like his presentations? nope, he tries too hard

Do I want his body? Do I think he's sexy? C'mon should I let you know?
That would be an uh-uh.

Younger girls may like him because he acts like a rebel but most women I know don't care for his grooming. At least he is a wonderful magician. Wouldn't you agree?

I'll have to say I do not find him attractive. Then again I am not a teen groupie. Before I go on, about the " Hike the skirt up higher" .. comments and the " tails with no pants " comments. No one ever tells a male magician.." hmm act needs more sex appeal...wear tighter pants and turn around so the women can see your $&* "

On to his magic. All I have seen him perform are those " street magic" things that are filled with camera tricks and stooges. So I cannot say what type of magician he is, or if I like his magic as I have never seen any. I will say that as far as his skills go, I like George Lucas' skills better.

So do I find Criss attractive? ...No... Not really since for me it's not just looks, but personality, style, wit, etc... So... No, no, no, and ...no..

if I could date any magician in the world though...It would have to be Lance Burton... I think he's hot...

I used to like him during the first season of Mindfreak, but his constant arrogance has changed my opinion since then. His style has become a bit exaggerated over the last couple years too, although no one can deny that he has a clearly defined image, and that is one of the most important traits in being successful. - Mistie

He has a clearly defined image, I agree. But one would hope that image were a likeable one. Unless he is aiming to be " the bad boy of magic." " The magician other magician's love to hate." Kinda thing.

He may have succeeded. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing though.

I found this topic interesting. I guess it points out that looks aren’t everything after all (not that came as a great revelation away).

However I did find the sexualisation of females an interesting issue. For the lady’s on these forums how do you view this type of performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HM1fMH5rc48

After seeing this, at what point is sexualizing in magic going to far?

Secondly could we all just be protesting his arrogance that might just be his performing persona (the actor playing the magician type thing)? In reality he mightn’t be like this? Just a thought.

Magically
