How about The Prestige or The Illusionist?

That is why I said I am trying to find any movie that is either about magic (ala The Prestige or The Illusionist). Any help is appreciated.

I need more than those 3, but at least you posted something.

Magic... it is a thriller from the 1970's starring Anthony Hopkins and Anne Margaret.

Yeah, "Magic" is a hilarious thriller. If you ever see it, tell me if you don't crack up when he starts yelling at the spectator (Anne Margaret) when he fails to correctly reveal her selected card. Blaming her for not concentrating hard enough... not supposed to be funny but I can't help laughing every time.

You might want to wait until the search function gets fixed. There have been some other threads on this topic with lots of titles.

They sound like solid answers to me.

I assumed "useless help" fell into that category.

Theres this guy drowning and this guy walks by and the drowning man says HELP HELP GARGLE GARGLE, HELPPP! The man says to the drowning man, you know what man I'm sick of people like you, your a loser, swim, swim! The drowning man screams HELP HELP GARGLLEEE ELLLPPP!!! The man just stands there. Then a kindly man hears the screams and runs over, jumps in the pool, grabs him and pulls him up on to the side, once he gets his breath back he shouts at the other guy, why didn't you help me? why didn't you save me? the guy says well next time your drowning you might not have anyone near so I suggest you learn to swim.

The man says well I just thought you could save me. The kindly man says so you could swim but rather than saving yourself you would drown?

The ex drowning man says yes, my legs are tired. The two men pick up the ex drowning man and throw him back in the water. Drowning man says "not again"

I hope my story will also be of some useless help.

A film was released this year titled "Death Defying Acts" starring Catherine Zeta Jones and Guy Pearce. It is a biopic on Houdini. You can read more about it here:

How do you get three (3) or is my math really bad?

3? Is Ala a movie about Magic?

How about Houdini starring Tony Curtis or The Magicians (didn't like it).

Are you looking for just movies or will documentaries work? I know A & E have Houdini and Copperfield on DVD. It is basically a history of thier life, or for Copperfield a portion of his. What exactly are you looking for and maybe we can narrow the results.

Harry Potter series?

OK, I fatfingered the keyboard with the 3, but at least it made people post. All of these so far are great, I am looking at getting what I can for my video library that is why I am asking. Thanks to all.

A teensy bit in "The Horse Whisperer".
Also known, when doing rope magic, as "Cordini"

"Bobby Deerfield" w/Al Pacino. The only movie I ever fell asleep during. Norm Nielsen is shown early in the picture, but alas too little.

FWIW

Cheers! Smile
