If your looking for top quality you should check out the JL2 wallets at http://www.jl2magic.com where they have a top quality slim line himber available in black and brown, which even comes with an instructional dvd to get you started and its only around £40,since purchasing the JL2 all my other himber wallets are now in the junk draw.
I've also purchased the JL2 scam wallet which is a quality shogun style wallet, although the tricks on the instructional dvd are basic,i adapted it so I could perform preditor and heirloom which I had purchased earlier. |

Interesting. This could be what I am looking for.
I purchased an O'Connell Himber wallet a couple of years ago. but sold it, as it was too thin and flimsy for what I wanted (more of a real looking wallet), though the quality and construction were top-notch. Just a matter of preference. I purchased one from Hank Lee also, but it was so dang thick, and you could easily see the z-shape when the wallet was tabled. Warren, to you have any comment on this aspect of the JL2 wallet? Perhaps, due to the nature of its construction, my expectations are too high.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Chessmann, all I can say is that the JL2 wallets are first class your not going to notice any z fold shap as that isn't the principle used.
if you go to the web site you can ask them any questions you might have just look on the bottom left of the page for the cantact details. |

The JL2 himber isn't a z-fold. Using this principle, there is no visible z-fold with this type. For an example, check out Larry Becker and Lee Earle's Insight wallet.

The (non-O'Connell) himber wallet I had before used straps, and things were plenty visible! :^)

The himbers I've seen used thin leather straps which kept the wallet nice and flat. Insight was great for this but I thought that it was really overpriced for what it was.

I just received the scam wallet from JL2, and I am very impressed! I am using it for Becker's Super Serial Killer. Can't speak highly enough about the entire package.
A best buy! Paul h. |

Hi chaps,
Just my two-pence worth, I've had my himber and scam wallets from JL2 for a little while now and they're both top notch, right out of the top drawer, I won't leave home without them! The tricks on the DVD's are pretty basic but get you started using them right out of the box which is great. Like Warren I bought Predator some time ago, but since buying the JL2 scam wallet I have adapted it and now use this wallet instead - much better quality, great DVD/booklet/packaging - so nice to see manufacturer's putting the effort into the whole package as well as the trick itself. A must-buy, these wallets are as good as they get! Rich |

Does anyone know if the scam wallet features the 8 pockets per "side" for kk or heirloom? And does it have the flap divider like the heirloom so you can "flash" the wallet empty?
thanks |

Almost five years late, but I hate seeing threads with unanswered questions, and others may find this thread and want the same info:
I just received a Scam Wallet that I purchased from a board member. The wallet has three credit card-sized pockets on each side (the outermost pockets are shallower than the inner pockets and aren't deep enough to cover more than ~3/4 of a credit card). In addition there are billfold pockets running the length of the wallet when unfolded. No flaps, but the bill pockets do have a single divider. Also, these bill pockets are barely long enough for US currency (I think they're sized better for shorter UK bills). I've never done Heirloom or KK, but I suspect one would have to do an abbreviated version in order to use this wallet. It'd be good for Becker's Super Serial Killer as Paul H. said. As others have said, superb leather, some of the best I've seen in a gaffed wallet. I with the makers were still in business.

I wanted to post information regarding Subdivided Studios and Sebashtian. I am a new customer and chose to go with his tables due to the quality and workmanship. More importantly, doing business with Sebashtion and his company ,Subdivided Studios, is something I want to call to everybody's attentio. I had a lot of questions and needed advice. He took the time and had the patience to answer all of my questions honestly and it really helped me with my decisions. I purchased a few different products based on my needs. I could tell right away that he wanted to satisfy my needs and recommend what was best for me vs. just trying to make a sale. He is a top-notch guy and cares about the client and the reputation of his company. This is the type of person that I like to do business with...Check out his products, they are as classy as you will find.

Probably best to have started a new topic about Subdivided, rather than post in one that is about the JL2 & Scam Wallets That way, people are much more likely to see what you have written - under a topic specifically about Subdivided.
I see that you're very new to the board - you'll get the hang of it, no worries. Welcome to the Café! Quote: On Jun 11, 2014, amazing mike wrote:
