Where can I find a simple 18 inch scarf? I've looked high and low in department stores.
thanks |

You won't find an 18 inch square scarf in any store except a magic store. Muggles have no use for them. They are too small to wrap around your head, or use around your neck as a scarf. Even a bandana, which is commonly used for those purposes, is larger than 18 inches. You MIGHT find something suitable in a men's department masquerading as a breast pocket handkerchief, but chances are it will be a very heavy silk with a necktie pattern on it.
If you want to cut silk and sew hems, you can convert a 36 inch head scarf into four 18 inch scarves, but you may not be happy with the cut up patterns. Fortunately, Silk King Studios < http://www.silkkingmagic.com/ > is an advertiser on this forum and there are other magic stores on-line and off that will have 18 inch silks.

Tuxedo shops are great for the thick silks . Otherwise just go on line to any magic shop and get the regular thin ones for tt vanish exct.

In cases like TWOCAN relates where any opaque cloth could work, the best source of men's pocket squares (lining silk) for the price is a Burlington Coat Factory Outlet ($3.50). The uses are limited. However, it may be exactly what you seek. The problem with lining is that often it is only good on one side.
