Anybody know where I could get a realistic one?

Hey Trixta,
I did a Google search for anatomical models and got some expensive but good-looking, life-size models ($130): http://www.holtanatomical.com It would be way cheaper to make one if you have any sculptural skill. How close are you to the spectators? Does it have to move? Tell us more. Yours, Paul |

I was actually looking for a rubbery-one for a meat-skewer through tongue type thing. I'd probably be a few feet away from the spectator.

OK
It would be easier for you to use your own tongue and a gimmicked skewer. Either that or if you want to use a gimmicked tongue then refer to Shock Fx the video and Shock Magic the booklet. Andrew has some cool ideas there that would be better then using a prosthetic or animal tongue. I'm more than happy with the gimmicked one I made with a coat hanger. Jonathan

Try Daytonamagic.com
If you don't see it there, ask Harry about it. I'm sure he can get it! Magickman

You could also do it for real like the fakirs, especially with a tongue piercing (OK, just kidding).
Since this is the bizarre forum, I thought that you'd have it in a jar and have it speak to you (anything but a card revelation, please). Yours, Paul |

Many party shops and joke stores have "gag" rubbery body parts, including tongues.
(Don't ask how I know! <G>) BTW, the skewer through fake tongue -- shown to the audience as a fake -- is an old Amazing Jonathan gag. |
