There was once an effect advertised where someones ring vanished and then you opened your coat as though to sell them 1 of many rings pinned to a piece of fabric inside your coat. Their ring was among the rings pinned inside your coat.

Does anyone know the name of this effect?
Is it still available??
has anyone done / still doing this effect?? Your thoughts?

I never heard of this variation.
It sounds like your basic Ring Flight with a twist.

There are several variations of finger ring to impossible location. Finger ring to key ring, to shoelace, to coin purse, etc.

Knowing any of these should make the trick you mention easy to work out.
It sounds like a fun routine for a conman/peddler character.

I'm not sure if it's still available. I believe that magicsmith.com was selling it at one time, but I don't know if they still are. I haven't used it, but I know of a well-respected pro who does and he likes it.

This sounds like Robert Baxt's very funny routine...I'm not sure it's still available. It's no longer on his website. You may want to give him a call.

However, Ring Finale by myself and Dean Dill might just fill the bill for what you're looking for...Ring Finale ends up with a collection of high quality fashion rings - a ring is vanished an appears inside the purse.

I have this little effect SOMEWHERE. I will look for it later today and you can make me an offer if you wish to have it.

You might also take a look and see if Steven's Magic has it. I remember seeing it around quite a few years ago.
