Though it's still 268 days away (yes, I really do keep track) I've already begun planning my 2008 Halloween display. (I'm "that guy" on the block that goes all out. Coffins, tombsones, fake fence, skeletons, monsters, fog machines... the whole nine yards.)
I'm thinking of putting on a small haunt-themed show for the neighborhood. Any suggestions for appropriate tricks that I should perform? |

Just have Doug stand in the front yard. That should be pretty scary.

What do you do already, and what are you looking to do?
Are you looking for more intimate stuff or do you want illusions? Lastly, how scary, creepy, and/or gory do you want it to be? I'm sure that several of us have may have some more suggestions, including look at the signature lines of the last three people who posted, self included. Chris |

AS the previous posts have said..Depends on what you want to do. There are finger choppers, needle through arm, guilotine (spelling) effects, then the more mild such as tarot reading, oujia board reading.
But I will tell you. If you really want to have a theme that will be talked about for years to come. Think about this. A Jack the Ripper theme. Props including fog machine scenes of the bodies...and needless to say go to Higleys site and check out his Ripper Effects. You can go berserk here. Use Street sighs etc Whitechapel signs etc. Even have a few pamphlets printed up of headlines for the spectators.
If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000

Not large-scale illusions. Smaller stuff. I have a french arm-chopper that I think is perfectly appropriate. I'll probably combine that with the living arm illusion. Beyond that though I'm not sure.
