I've bought several items from an old magician. Sort of a wonder box and in the box lay three giant cards made of cardboard which all could be either kings or queens.( they all had a sliding mechanism) I wonder if any of you have routine for this or can point me in the right direction. I use the McCombical deck in my shows both on stage and in more intimate settings and its a giant success....every time!! therefore I wonder if theres any way of working my new cards into an equally strong routine with a great ending? They came in a plastic bag.black plastic on the back and clear on the front...

Hello:

It sounds as though you may have picked up Abbott's "Find the Lady." It's a three card monte type of routine, where a queen is mixed up among two kings. The audience is asked to guess where the queen is, but can't find her because of the special cards.

Gene Gordon has a routine for it in his book, "Magical Legacy." I hope this gets you started in the right direction.

Also called King Monte-sold at Hocus Pocus

Great effect if done in 2-3 moves to music
