Ok...

I don't work for Steve...
I'm not paid to say what I'm about to post...

I'm just a very big fan of his and wanted to share my opinion with you guys:

I've been following the Genisis of the "Hands Free" animatronics puppets since Steve started talking about them....

Needless to say, I was excited to see what he, along with his amazing colleagues, had come up with...

Seeing as he just released the pricing on the two figures today, I have to publicly state:

This guy is freaking amazing!

The incredible detail, the sheer 'open slate' as far as what is possible with these guys, along with the ABSOLUTELY intense attention to detail make these figures not only affordable, but a STEAL!

I, honestly, was expecting a price range in the 6-8 Thousand range...And that would be a VERY fair price....

His prices are INSANE!! (Insert 80'sesque Electronic Store spokesman twang here)...

While I personally can't afford to pick up one of these guys for my own show right now (I LOVE the Toucan, by the way!), I can recognize a value when I see it.

If you have the means, get your rear-end on his list ASAP!!

Welcome to the next generation in Ventriloquism/Magic: Courtesy of Steve Axtell and Axtell Expressions!

Kudos pal, you rock!

PP - I couldn't agree more.

I'm just looking at how I can afford one of these. I've wanted to do this sort of thing (the 'vent' model) for years and now here it is at what is a really good price.

Thanks guys...much appreciated. I've got a great technical team working out nearly everything I throw at them (and I throw fast!) Following and tracking all the details of this as it develops has got to be hard for everyone, so rest assured my NEXT task is to help communicate all this better. We will be making 10 or more new videos to explain all the great features, one at a time, tutorial fashion. We want you to succeed and feel confident when you start using these.... it will be a fun journey. Thanks again for your kind words and encouragement. We will continue to post updates and videos on the pages at http://www.axtell.com/remote.html

Oh I love the Tucan! very colorful and when he/she comes to life without touching it it looks liek pure magic. Steve and sstaff have always been very helpful and produce the best stuff. My son is currently eye balling the Tucker Turtle puppt for his first vent figure. He wants to join me this year at Vent Haven and is really liking Tucker. As for the animated puppets..well for now I will drool over how much I would love one, but as a hobbyist it will be just a tad out of my range..but a fella can dream right? Smile

Don't forget dreams can become reality! You just need to justify the purchase with enough reasons to invest in it. If you really want one, start making a list of all the places you could use it in your community. Businesses, schools, malls, churches, events, museums, libraries, etc.

Steve,
in your last life, were you a Fuller Brush salesman?
You sure are convincing, but right about what you say.

I'm gonna wish upon a star.

Ha! No but if you bought one of these, your life would surely be...."Fuller!"

And you are right to wish upon a star...YOU are the star! You are always worth investing in.

I'm not saying this is right for everyone....don't go into heavy debt if you can't figure out enough ways to make money with it. I only want to hear success stories from people that make the leap!

Question: Will the latex in the animatronic puppets differ in quality as compared to the normal puppets you make?
Latex will not last forever, specially in hot weather. In my experience, most of my Ax latex puppets have a life span of 5 years. After that, it begins to melt starting from the mouth, chin or nose.
I am curious, that since, these are hands (and perspiration) free, it could probably last longer provided it is much thicker than the normal Ax latex puppets.
If you ask me, I DON'T need an Ax Hands Free Puppet, I simply WANT it!
I could just visualize the Toucan continuously bragging that he could do better than my parrots while I am performing my bird show. Wow! Just imagine the side jokes it could do.

Lou...the latex is our same high quality. Far superior to other latexes used for mask making, etc. Absolutely the best that can be chemically formulated. Our latex will last 3-10 years depending on use and the care it receives. However, someday when it needs to be replaced, it will be easy to do... We are designing the Hands-Free puppets so that the faces are easily removable. The cost of a replacement head is very reasonable, just like on our puppets.

In the future, we might also offer a more expensive upgrade to a synthetic skin which has a longer life, but that would increase the price considerably. We think the latex with the replacements is the way to go.

GREAT POINT!

That's how we feel about producing them for you too! We don't need to...We just WANT TO!

They are so awesome and fun! I cannot wait until you have them working in your show.

So what is the #1 reason you want one of these?
What is the #2 reason?

Okay, honestly....

#1 Reason: For ME. I am totally still a little girl and that's why I do princess shows for little girls. It has to be fun for me, and this would be a great new "toy", sidekick, and experience.

#2 Reason: For my audience. I know that the kids I perform for would love an animatronic puppet, just like they love my current puppet. She would be a girl character that they would identify with and the parents would have a great time, too. I know that if I want one of these the girls in my audiences want me to have one too.

#1 Reason - The WOW factor.

#2 Reason: I could use the Toucan in my "Keep Yourself Safe" safety awareness program. He could says things like "that's a good point", "why didn't I thiink of that" and other similiar comments thru out my program.
