What is the BEST stapled chicken effect?

I like the one where the chicken is restored to its unstapled condition and appears in the magician's wallet. (I prefer a "flash" restoration, and I don't like the version that uses a duplicate chicken.)

And there was the one where two chickens are stapled together with their backs out . . . how does that one go?

See...herein lies the problem: If you have to use a gaffed chicken, you really can't hand him out for inspection.
I've gotten around this problem in the past by using a Henway Maneuver.

Poof-Daddy,
No. The re-stapled chicken would not be examinable. Blaine probably used the maneuver Steve referred to. Steve, I may be thinking of the same sleight, but I have a question: What's a Henway? 0pus |

Oh, about four and a half pounds, fully grown.

Do NOT buy the Stapled chicken effect! It is a rip off of the fried chicken effect and no permission was ever granted by Col. Sanders, the originator of that effect. I suggest that you only by the Original (recipe)

Nice work Steve and Opus!!!!
The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are

This effect was first published as a vague idea in 1840 by Robert Houdin in his book “Le Mystery’ de la Rue” on page 57.
Percy Gambit, England’s foremost Street Performer (Bottler), was known to perform the effect regularly in the early 1920’s. Dozens of Magicians today regularly perform the effect without giving proper credit. I believe that at least two are trying to take credit for inventing it.
The artist formally known as Mumblepeas!

Why did the magician cross the road?
He crossed the road around 5:00 p.m. cause he didn't want his audience saying that they couldn't see the trick because of the sun on their face.

Q: How many magicians does it take to cross the road?
A: 10. One to cross the road, two to speculate how he did it, one to ask why he crossed in the first place and 6 to work out variations. Jason |

Jason,
Don't forget the 9,990 magicians to criticize the way it was done, claim the magician crossing the road was a hack, assert that they could have done the road-crossing trick better, complain about how the magician was dressed and argue that road-crossing is not a legitimate real world effect (and undoubtedly a camera trick). And also don't forget about the 50 dealers who will advertise the very next day that they have for sale the famous road-crossing trick. 0pus |

Sure he crossed the road, but was it really art? Did it have content?

Actually, he didn't cross the road because he couldn't hand it out for examination.
