So I'm juggling as a part of pre-game entertainment for our local NBA team and this guy walk up and tells me joke... which I am surprised that I have never heard before...

"What do you do when you are attacked by a circus?
You go for the juggler"

It made me laugh. I hope it has the same effect on some of you. (at least those who have not heard it, anyway)

My favorite is "what do you call the juggler who breaks up with his girlfriend? Homeless". My wife tells me that one about once a week.

Hey Steve
I did Harry Potter night at the 76ers game last week. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that a NBA crowd is far more civilized than an NHL crowd.

I first heard that one with "musician" in the place of juggler. But then most of those musician jokes could also be applied to jugglers, magicians, clowns, etc. Such as...

What did the juggler (usually "drummer" goes here) get on his SAT test?...
...Drool
What is the difference between a snake crossing the road and a clown (usually "trombone player" goes here)crossing the road?...
The snake is probably going to a gig...

There a literally about a million of those musician jokes out there just waiting to be re written for jugglers.

Yeah, I have found the NBA crowd to be quite warm and receptive to me when I work there. I find them to be fun and easy gigs

True Story:

Performing a show upstate NY, I got hit in the face with a juggling knife by my partner (not my regular partner) (Long story short, he was on a giraffe uni, I was picking up props under his tire, I stood up as the knives came down). Lots of blood, lots of swelling. About a quarter inch from my left eye.

I'm in the provincial ambulance, with a crackly connection to the hospital. (Middle of nowhere, no cell reception, no nothing). They keep talking about the accident with the knife juggler.

We get to the hospital, there are about twenty residents waiting in their scrubs, sanitized hands up in the air, expectant. "Is this the jugular?"

"Juggler. Juggler." we correct.

With disappointed shrugs, they sigh, and go their separate ways.

Two stitches later, I head back to the hotel.

Oh yeah--I think that was my birthday, too.
