Okay. Sorry for the cheesy title - I'm in Hollywood - what can I say?
Hello all. Since I see all kinds of threads and posts about all these other DVDs and videos for sale, and since "Clock" has been out here posting some info on this project I thought it was time I dropped in and said hi to everyone. Just wanted to give everyone a little heads up out here about a little project I just finished up that should be right down everyone's alley- Fast Company - the DVD set. You can go to the main page of the dvd to see the teaser trailer or if it's easier for you on youtube- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_ZwOsR-EGA This is a two disk DVD set that is basically my thoughts and takes on some of the most discussed and asked about sleights, moves and routines. These are the tools that I use every time I pick up a deck of cards - and effects that I use them with. The moves and effects that I showed the cast, crew producers etc. to get "Shade" going. The subtitle should be - Moves, sleights and routines to get a film made. These are my approaches to these moves, routines and include tips that I have learned - being lucky enough to be around and close friends with most of the card greats (many who have passed away). I was also lucky enough to befriend and know quite a few real workers in my time who did the work for money - and I learned a lot from them as well. While there are some basic things covered, and everything is well shot and explained in detail - this is not really aimed at the beginner. It will certainly be helpful if you have a pretty good knowledge of cards to start. That's not to say that the moves aren't taught in full - they are - but I feel that it is really most beneficial to those who already have a certain level with cards and want to improve their card handling - make their moves and sleights work better and be more deceptive and to add some new weapons to their arsenal. Okay, I'll stop pimping myself out here - Hey, there has been a writer's strike for the last three months I had to do something! Anyway, I wanted to give all the guys out here a first look before this heads out to the dealers and stores. If you want more info or have any questions feel free to PM me here or email me. Thanks and I hope you guys get a kick out of it. Damian Nieman

Mike,
Thanks for the kind words. I hope everyone enjoys these DVDs. Some pretty fun things on them if I do say so myself - even though I'm getting a little friendly heat for tipping some stuff... Damian

Not that he needs my validation, but I met Damian a few years ago in Vegas and he's a heck of a nice guy; and a killer with the deck. Can't wait to see these.

May I ask, is the guy who is doing the Bottom Dealing there Damian?
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Yes...That's me doing the bottom deal. Some of the other stuff too - I would've done all of the moves myself but I was a little busy directing the movie while I was shooting this in the next room - plus I wanted to give my friends some of the fun too!

Hi guys,
Click here to see the introduction video to Fast Company. On a side note, there really is a lot of excellent learning material packed into these two disks complimented by the best demonstration of the sleights...period. I am very excited how well this project has turned out. Flawless execution is an understatement. On a side note, you will not find a better demonstration and explanation of the bottom deal. This is one of many sections that is worth the price of the entire set. Best, Grant Carden http://www.fastcompanydvd.com |

Ordered mine yesterday. I really can't wait to get it. I love false shuffles and cuts but need more motivation and I think this set will give it to me. Thanks for releasing this material.

Just ordered it. When does the movie come out? In Theaters or straight to DVD? I LOVE straight to DVD movies.

Got mine yesterday and I have to say that this is an extremely well done set of dvd's. The opening is cool and the instructions are very clear. This is the epitome of what a professional magic set should look like. The first disk taught a lot of sleights which I thought I would never find and a lot that I just couldn't figure out without a clear video picture of them. The second disk is full of great effects that just look like miracles. They flow together well and don't look like "effects" at all but like the real thing. I like the Shade gag reel too. Altogether one of the best purchases I have ever made. Thank you!

There is a movie connected to this called Fast Company. The people who made Shade and the Takedown are doing it.
I just got this and it is very good, I have learned a lot after watching it only once. |

Don't think so buddy, think Fast Company is the name of DVD and producers, no film attached. I'd trust Clock on this one ;p

This, at least to me, is the real deal as far as making a magic routine look like a true gambling demonstration. I more than enjoyed it! This will be the dvd stuck in my player for the next few months. I would like to personally thank everyone involved for releasing the material.
