I know there is a gaffed coin that you can use for Chink-a-chink so that you can end totally clean instead of having to lap the last coin. Is there a name for the coin or somewhere that I can find it? Honestly I don't know a whole lot about coin magic, I'm more of a card guy.
Thanks. |

To end clean and not have to do a cleanup...
I've only seen one. It's a creation of Joe Rindfliesch and not published yet. Hang tight till the summer.

Is mentioning a shell naive?

I saw a guy do it at a magic convention recently, he had to do it like three times before I finally caught on that he had a gaffed coin, some type of shell maybe? I don't know really. It looked REALLY impressive.

Hi,
Paul Cummings has a cool gimmick for Chink-A-Chink that provides for a KILLER ending. Check it out in 'Up in Smoke' the Underahdned magic of Paul Cummins. Sincerely, Doug. |

Magic Sponge, thanks. That's it, the guy I saw perform it I know was a student of Paul Cummings, that had to be it.

I am interested in the routine Jonathan Towsend just mentioned.
Could you tease me a bit more. |

Paul Cumming's chink-a-chink defenitely needs a clean-up at the end. Besides the gaff he uses on his Knihc-a-Knihc routine makes a reverse assembly possible, otherwise the gaff would have no extra advantage.
It is very interesting, but it does not answer your initial question.

The guy's name is Joe Rindfleisch.
The routine happens on the floor, or if you are careful, on a coffee table. The mechanics allows for really startling coin assemblies, and transformations. If you are in NJ, say hello to him. PS -most folks just use a shell or extra coin and learn to cuff the leftovers. Adding a gaff is not THE answer, just AN answer. The effect is what counts. What Joe did was make the effect look more magical

Does Joe Reindfliesch (sp) perform any where specifically in New Jersey? I am located in NJ and would love to see him perform if possible. Thanks, Mike Clayman

Joe's routine is great. He created the initial effect and came to my apt to show me the very next day. We came up with some cool moves for the gimick and the end result is unbelieveable. It was christened PK coins, but I don't know if Joe is going to keep that name. REALLY COOL.
