Does anyone have a good source or mp3/wav of a ratchet sound to use with Twister Illusion?
Been looking online without too much luck. I can easily loop as I edit all of my own music but need to get something decent to loop. Any help will be greatly appreciated! |

When I built my Twister, I made a ratchet wheel with a head-sized hole in the center, mounted to the lazy susan. A friend had a CNC router, and he was able to create the ratchet wheel with evenly-spaced teeth. I then mounted a piece of thin spring steel in a wooden block to act as the "clacker".
You could probably do the same thing by using a saber saw to cut a plywood "gear", although it would take more time.
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...

Try http://www.sounddogs.com/ and type in ratchet in the search. They have a TON to choose from!
