The best (my favorite) coin effect is any good version of the classic coins across plot.

The plot for coins across is that a number of coins magically travel from one location to another.
The most common presentation of this is having the coins travel from one hand to the other. And more powerfully, from the magician's hand to the spectator's hand.
Some versions use regular coins, where others use gimmicks.
In my opinion, even effects like matrix fall into the category of this plot.

that would have to be, for me, copper/silver (2 coin) or silver copper brass(johnson prod), or a Kurtz style one coin routine.

the cap and pence, or its new version called 'whisper' is a strong effect. the copper/silver transposition is a strong effect. The kaps coin squash is a strong effect. If you have a pocket hankerchief to use, there are some really strong effects in Bobo's to look at. Have fun!

for a good, strong, enertaining coin routine it's hard to beat the Copper/Silver transposition.

I think that first sentence may need another adjective in it.

That's like asking what the best fruit is. It's subjective.

I like coins across (no shell), and ending by changing one of the half dollars into a jumbo coin in the SPECTATOR'S hand.
