Although impractical for frequent performance, Osterlind's coin in bottle is dynamite. The preparation is excruciatingly tedious - at least for me.
Otherwise, a quality C/S/B routine can look like the real thing. Later..... Steve |

Since that patter is more serious, I believe spectators pay more attention as if the effect is more important than others. Effects that happen in the spectators hands are particularly powerful: stack & pennies is a golden oldie that still packs a punch.
For stand-up, either a 3-Fly routine or a flurry (Gary Kurtz's 'Flurious' is excellent). For table-top, I think matrix effects are a good start, then completely fry people's minds with a chink-a-chink - or even better one of Dean Dill's assemblies.
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three. Elayne Boosler

A CSB routine with the final transposition occuring in the spectator's hands looks truly magical.

Quadra QuickSand Coins-Latta in Coin Magic by Richard Kaufman. If you have Bobo, CoinMagic or Roth's book should be the next step.

Speaking of 'frame and presentation' On a few Bruce Lee
documentary's I,ve heard Bruce Lee used to do[what I believe was Scotch and Soda].He would challange one of his students to try and close their hand before he could grab their coin. The student would see a blur and of course open his hand to find the coin gone. Since he really was fast I think the context here was fantastic...
