Greetings fellow mind blowers.

I am Keith, I live in Germany and thought that the time has come to expand the network and shoptalk circle. I am glad I found you guys as networking here in Germany seems rather difficult and challenging to say the least. I don't know why, it just is that way.

I concentrate on an artistic fusion of Mentalism, unique video footage relating to stage of show, ambient music and creative shifting atmosphere.

My concept is one of complicated detail. I run into several problems and am looking forward to getting some advice from the globetrotters amongst us with experience of dealing and conquering such issues.

My primary source of materiel comes from the purchase and practice of tricks on the market, although I strive on defining my own ideas and concepts when I am ready to do so.

Right now I am preparing a show for October, that will take me thru many castles here in the region I live. What a fantastic opportunity! The show shall concentrate on "spooky" mentalism, some historic retracing and magic of witch times, and maybe some seance stuff, not sure.

I look forward to posting here and sharing with you all my endeavours.

Oh...one more thing. I am an Ambient music producer with some very intriguing music that I offer you free of charge. I think the "vibe" fits very well and has drawn fantastic reviews from my audiences. feel free to take what you like at:

Best of luck and godspeed,
Keith

Hi there,

Welcome to the Magic Café. I think you’ll have a lot of fun in here. The topic boards and the members are real interesting and helpful. It covers just about any interest in the art and even the sideline interests. Have you been doing magic long? What type of magic are you interested in?
Thanks for the offer and post on the music.
Have fun,

Muggs

When I was a kid, I grew up outside of Dallas Texas. My parents had a shop at a place called Vikon Village, it was like a huge indoor flea market. Crazy Ray used to come there all the time (He was the mascot for the Dallas Cowboys and a great magician) I was glued to his side and always working on magic back then.

Then as I grew up I lost touch with it, then came the military, then came career...but I returned to magic after finding Derren Brown in 06. Since then, I have been working on a mix of mentalism, some PK, and a wide mix of tricks I have purchased. (Docc Hillford, Bob Cassidy , Derren Brown, Etc.) I squeeze in my magic/mentalism studies as I have more time now in my professional life.

I am glad you guys took the offer for the music well, it was a concern of mine you would think I was spamming...not me man. This is for the Magicians...by a Magician.

Again thanks for the warmwelcome guys.

No Problem, welcome back after a long hiatis. I did the same, sort of, never totally got out of it but had to slow down considerably. Feels good to get back, doesn't it.

Well, yes and no. The largest challenge I face is the fact that I am dealing with a German based audience...as an American.

This presents several challenges, Mainly getting my patter down in a way that comes across natural. The psychological forces and suggestion is not as easy to do if you all of a sudden have to do it in a foreign language.

That's where the creation of my own "style" comes in. a mix of English, German and a lot of multi-media misdirection. But yet...it still comes across as "foreign." Based on my accent, the "style" of my presentation and the scepticism that isn't put to ease based upon my lack of natural convincing.

It's tricky....but I am determined.
