Yah a glass and a rubber cover or ball.

I once bought a $3 vanishing liquid trick from PenguinMagic. The trick by itself was not so good. But then got rid of all the other things on the gimick and was left with a rubberball and a shot glass. Now I use it as a final load in my Egg bagg routine.
The shot glass is made from plastic and it's very light and I advise you to check it out at PenguinMagic. "The vanishing liquid" trick. |

Wouldn't it make more sense to produce a chicken? or egg drop soup?

Rubber chicken, rubber fried egg, yellow scarf . . .
Dan Tong sells a well-made utility item for holding (and for ease of producing) a cordial glass of liquid without the rubber cover. It's what he personally uses for his egg bag routine. Of course, it's really suited for one who's "suited up".

Harry Stanley's Unique Studio used to sell a nifty holder that held a mini brandy snifter type glass to load into his leather chop cups. Shape of glass (small mouth opening) let you work WITHOUT a rubber cover.

Another idea is to buy one of those cheap souviner glasses that have liquid in them and are compleatly sealed. One well known performer uses just such a glass for the end of his egg bag routine. Others have as well.

We see them in this country at nearly any souvenir or gift shop. They're usually a double wall plastic goblet with some colored liquid between the layers.

How about if what you produce goes along with the theme of your show.
A callback. A re-appearing prop... again. These are the things that tie your show together with a pretty bow and make your act memorable and very professional.

I bought Dan Tong's final load (shot of whiskey) years ago but I've never had the nerve to try it for a live audience in fear it would spill. And your right he does not use a cover! Anyway, you certainly don't NEED a final load, although it is a cool idea. There are many routines that simply end with the last production of the egg being more dramatic than the rest.

Pretty much on point there Ken! The final load is a cool, novel way to end the routine. If you do one, it's fantastic. If you don't do one, trust me, the basic Charlie Miller or Ken Brooke routine will do you just fine.

The final production with the lady reaching in to find the eggs is IMPOSSIBLE to beat. However, it is so strong and the trick seems over and you could set the bag aside for a second, then pick it back up (el switcho) and reach in and bring out a glass of wine? A gift?

I got the impression Dan Tong finshed by saying something like ` let me drink a toast to the success of this trick`.

I'm sure this has been covered elsewhere but since this is such a fresh topic I thought I'd throw it out there...What egg bags are everyone using, standard Malini, zippered egg bag, Hobson, etc.? And just curious of opinions. This is a routine I've long been wanting to work on since I'm such a traditional fan and I'm buckling down to finally put some practice into it. Also curious of routining, is there a good standard routine out there to get me started that I can build on. Please any advice is greatly appreciated.

Malini. Fabric Manipulation is making a very good quality one. Looks and feels real classy. I like the standard black as it seems to be more deceptive. Also, the wine colored one started to turn my egg pink! The text "Ken Booke & Friends & the Malini Egg Bag" is what I would recommend.

Thanks for the info Ken, kinda assumed that was the answer. Seems to be the most used bag amongst the workers out there.
