Hey there,

Would anybody be able to tell me where I would be able to find either of these cards over here in Perth, Australia?

I'm afraid that you'll have to buy 'em online.

Thankfully, there are two Aussie shops in Sydney that also ships to other parts of Australia too.

Hey Presto!

I heard from a friend that they are very expensive in Australia. I recall that some time ago there was one rather affordable importer. Might be worth using the search engine.

Good thing that you mentioned it, Andy. They are quite expensive in Australia, around $AUS10 ...which is about $US9.4.

It's more cost-effective to buy from overseas in bulk. There's one site called magicbox (http://www.magicbox.uk.com/) which sells bicycles at 1.5 pounds each, or around $AUS3.22. Of course, there's postage and handling costs on top too...

The product page is here:

Many of the "Games Workshop" stores in Perth sell Bicycles, usually for about $15 a deck. I really see no reason to use Bicycles. The popular Queen's Slipper brand bridge size decks can be had for around $2.50 in supermarkets and they work fine for me. If you want poker size, Queen's Slipper brand for about $5 a deck.

Yup that is right, no real need for bicycles in Australia. I had actually never seen a deck of them till I got in to magic and saw them in magic stores when I was in the states, althought the do look nice.

Also by tally ho’s I could be mistaken but are you talking about the cigarette papers? or is it some thing else? if not you can get tally ho’s at most supermarkets on our side of Australia.

Wow... I know my store magicvault.net has sold a number of decks to AU customers. I now know why! With the US Postal Service having flat rate international shipping, I can send a 6 pack of decks to an AU customer quite affordably.

I know many people prefer the Bicycle brand, even if they are rare in their respective area.

Here in the US, Bicycle is the predominant simply because that is what people are accustomed to seeing. They feel less curious about a common deck.

I wonder how the quality is among various decks from country to country...
