I just found a web site that prints custom messages on fortune cookies (they are wrapped). I think it would be GREAT for restaurants. Just get it to say what you want, then, bang! Tell the spectator what it's going to say, they unwrap it, and there it is! http://www.wontonfood.com/CFC.htm - It's $60 for 399 cookies. Im definately ordering! Josh
If a magician is not intending to "trick" a spectator, why is every "trick" called a magic "trick"?

Great info Josh! I will be ordering right away. I just need to figure exactly what I want it to read. Let's start a list.
How about - 1) Your Search for Enlightenment Will End Under the Sugar Bowl! 2) Confucsious (sp) Says - Never Bet With A Man That Brings His Own Cards! Your Card Was the 8 of Spades! 3) The Name of Your Card Was - Phil! These are just a few off the top of my head, I bet we can come up with some excellent ones! What can you come up with? Bob

There is a discussion on this in the triple dare forum. They discuss some of the different uses for this.
I will post the link to this thread in there as no one has mentioned this in there.

That sets some really interesting possibilities in motion. I wonder how fortune cookies would play in a Margarita-style venue...hmmm

Magic aside, a custom made fortune cookie is a great way to ask someone to a school dance - for all of you highschool and college students out there.

Okay, this is a little off-topic, but has anyone seen that movie (can't remember the title) where the guy tries to propose to his girlfriend with a rigged fortune cookie?
The girl says she doesn't want a cookie but the waitress won't take no for an answer... Funniest scene I've ever watched!!

phonic,
Actually, I spent about an hour making my own. I printed the message, carefully removed the message inside a fortune cookie, then placed my own inside. Needless to say, it worked

Good question Phonic69, the repeat would be very limited if you could only get one saying for all the cookies. unless you had it say like what Moto said your busness cards and then say look under the table cloth or inside your pocket you have your questions revealed.

Good thinking, have a prediction on one side and your details on the other, that way it becomes your buisness card as well as your prediction!
Oh and congratulations on getting the girl Daniel! |

Well if a few of you get together with the same idea (Your card will be the...) you could all place an order with a different card and then trade. If you could talk 4 people into doing it you could have 5 different cards.

Chris Kenner's "Out of Control" book has a great gag using a message from a fortune cookie. It's meant more for when you are out dining, but I guess could be used in walk-around.

Ah gosh that is cool. I am going to use that for a million things! Predictions, revelations, name and phone number. How great is this. Thanks Josh.

Check this site out, you can make your own so you don't have to get 400, plus you can write your own messages. I'll check if the recipe works, but I'll have to wait a few weeks as I'm not at home, unless someone else has a go....
