Would golf balls work?

They are just about the same size. I guess that would work.

Golf balls would work if you are using golf balls for you multiplying ball set. Otherwise, no they wouldn't. The difference in surface would be markedly noticeable.

You can buy wooden balls at a craft store that come close in size to what ever size you are using. Paint them with high gloss, acrylic paint to match and string on a wire. Bend to shape and you're done.

Harry's suggestion would definitely work. I just made my own multiplying balls set in a similar manner.

I use fakini golf balls for multiplying balls. As a result I made a flash four using foam golf balls from the dollar store & elastic thread. It worked great and they match perfect. The common hollow plastic practice golf balls could also work but I like the feel of the foam rubber ones better.
