Hi everyone! I'm just starting to get interested in this field and have been reading some of the posts for beginners. I would like to do a lot of card magic, but I'm going to get Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic to keep my options open.
I have a little concern though, I have very tiny hands (just about big enough to cover a deck of cards plus an inch), will that be a problem if I go into card magic? |

Hi, Schauby, welcome to the Café! Wilson's book is a great start, and it has quite a bit of card magic. You may also want to check out Royal Road to Card Magic. And if you want to get a little more expensive (but worth it), you may like the Card College series.
I assume by your question about hand size, you're worried about palming cards? Hand size isn't nearly as important as technique, but you may want to check out Bridge-size cards if you haven't already. Bridge-size cards are smaller than Poker-size (Bicycle) cards. Have fun! ![]()

Welcome Shauby. You could always use bridge sized cards instead of poker size.

Phew, *wicks sweat off of forehead*. I really love card tricks and I was afraid that would become a problem, thanks for the info.

Welcome to the café. A bridge deck works better than hanging weights from your fingers to stretch.
Good Luck. Best, DF |
