I have shown this to lots of people: agents, performers, non show biz people, and not one of them has said anything even remotely close to your comments. It called self promotion for a reason. You gotta sell it baby! Who better to sell your self... than yourself. I've made my living in this biz for a long time and If I'd ever had a problem with tooting my own horn I would have failed miserably and starved to death a long time ago. You are certainly entitled to your own opinion... and we appreciate your input, but the talking part is strong. That's what I am hearing from most other people, particularly our agents. I'm sure it will be edited down a little bit, however. Arrogant and unlikable are such strong words. Cheers! AL

Sorry didn't mean to upset you.
I just felt the self promo might sound better coming from someone other than yourselves. You come across slick, very professional and made it clear that you could do the job, however I feel having such a strong sales pitch from you personally detracted from your friendly funny persona's. I don't mean to put you down, just offering an honest comment about how I personally felt watching the promo. Phil |

The anonymous voice over is one approach. We feel that it is old and tired. This style is something relatively new and different. I liken it to the idea of "giving your pitch". I've seen it done only a few times. But always very effectively. As my partner stated, you look them in the eye and tell them what you can do for them and why. I think that a side benefit of this is that clients also like to see that you carry yourself well and that you speak intelligently and seem honest, other than when you are in character and on stage. After all, you really are selling yourself in this business. It really does not matter whether you are a juggler, a comic, a magician or whatever... it is your personality that they will like or not like on stage...the same is true off stage. So, why not use that to sell your act to begin with? I am really very curious to hear if any else who has seen it thinks the same way that you do. We really want as much input as possible before the final edit is done. Thanks again for taking the time. I honestly didn't think that you "put us down", you just expressed you feelings. Sincerely, Steve aka AL
